I will hopefully soon be buying a new Ranger (waiting for the 2.7l engine to hit lots). Plan to get an XLT, but would prefer the Lariat headlights. In the 5Gen I know the upgrade lights were plug-and-play, but does anyone know if it is the same for the 6Gen? Anyone have access to the wiring diagram to compare the 2 (maybe a tech)?

No answers, but I am curious as well. Would be nice if it was just that easy.

Attached are the diagrams for the headlamps and the turn signals.

Seems there is three types of headlamps systems. Halogen, LED Base & LED High.

I also have the connector pinout sheets. If you have a connector number in question, let me know and I can put it up.

On the Bronco, the Signature LED's and standard LED's are totally interchangeable, so hopefully this is a similar situation.

I should note, the standard LED's in our Bronco are so much brighter and widespread than the halogen lanterns on the front of my F-150, I never felt the need to upgrade...

On F150s you need an adapter harness to switch from OEM halogens to OEM LEDs.

Anyone got more info about this? According Ford Parts website, there are 2 types of headlamps, level 2 and level 3 (with a control module). The price is... high...?

The price each is a bit cheaper from Levittown Ford a forum vendor
$1,130 each still high though, maybe salvage pieces in the future as attrition takes it effect.

Salvage is the way to go until the collision parts aftermarket catches up. I had a minor front end collision back in early August and was trying price parts before I just decide to let it go to insurance. Ran into the same issue of price that @AndresJ mentioned where the headlamp just for my XL was $1600 full OEM retail. There was full intact salvage units on ebay for $300 or less.
