Picture shows amber turn signal but description says red. I would want the amber to match the 2024 and on. The picture looks like 2023 model. Jeez for that price I hope them come to your house and install it .

Just unstalled one on m truck.
It is completely plug and play.
it also does have amber turn signal lighting

Where does this tap/plug into? Is it the trailer 7/4-pin connector or the rear brake light wiring?

There are 2 plugs at the frame for each taillight,and their harness plugs right into those.
No cutting or splicing.
It doesn’t go anywhere near the 4 or 7 pin connectors,so it will not think you have a trailer.
Very well thought out and executed set up.

You're gunna get trailer errors with anything on the trailer plug, unless you follow the ford pro body builder layout book(aka upfitter guide) and tap the 3rd brake light at the bcm and run a wire back. but then you lose turn signal functionality.

Happened to me with my Diode Dynamics C1R's. used the 7pin harness, in the night time with my lights on, all would be fine, ish.... in the daytime with no lights on, I would get a trailer turn light error, unless My foot was on the brakes. I was getting a cap installed, and Im particular on how I want the wiring ran, so I ran the wire to the rear for the cap. a single run of 14/3 wire, used one of the 14g as the brake signal, the ground for cap(will be sepperate power wire later for rear accessories) and a constant 12v for the dome light in the cap.

I then removed the brake module from the left/right turn/brake wires off the DD trailer harness, and tied both to the new brake wire for my cap. Boom trailer light error gone. the trailer plug does still give me the ground, marker, and reverse power for the c1r's. and havent had a trailer error since.
