Is the transmission the exact same on all models and engine options? Meaning same trans in the 2.3, 2.7 and 3.0? Would be good to know, as that means the 2.3 and 2.7 hae a beefier trans! Second question, if you let completely off the gas, then reengage by pressing the gas again, do you have a slight hesitation or dead spot in the trans while it reengages?

Yes - all ranger models use the same 10R60 10 speed transmission

And yes, I would think in normal modes there will be a slight delay in power when quickly jumping on the throttle. This would most likely be for smoothness and not necessarily due to the transmission, but programed in on purpose. Try putting it into Sport mode and the power delivery should be more instant

My wife has a 21 Ranger 2.3 and It shifts way better than my 24 Ranger 2.7
Hers shifts right away Mine has a delay and won't shift if I lift on the throttle a little the RPMs are
at 4k or so and stays there till I give it more gas then shifts . I would like mine to shift and a lower RPM.
Programming are different
