A first for me.
I've had, screws, nails, glass but never a drill bit sticking out of the inside sidewall. Pointed end out.
My tire dealer got me a replacement Wrangler and included road hazard coverage on all 4. Coverage was minimal out of pocket $ considering cost of new tire. Tire tread wear was also minimal for the other 3 with 20k on them.

Ouch, was it the right rear? The crap gets tossed to near the shoulder, then your front tire hits it and flips it up so the rear one runs over it. I got a flat from a long 5/16” Allen wrench years ago, short end sticking out, but it was in the center and I heard the tick tick tick noise immediately.

I try really hard to stay out of new construction areas, contractors just don’t care when they drop stuff in the street, tho it is usually drywall screws or nails. Was your drill bit straight and usable? ;)

Left rear.
Who knows where it came from. I don't go to construction sites.
I didn't pull it out. My tire guy, who I trust, said it was bubbling in the test tank.
It might have been broken on the other end. I didn't think about removing it
Psi was at 23 when I got the warning.

that sucks, both the drill bit and the allen wrench.

if i have a flat from something, its always some type of nail.

funnies flat i ever had was on my bicycle. i have 23mm wide tires on my bike and i was going really fast down hill and got a flat that almost caused me to lose control because it went flat so fast. turns out that i hit a 4" long nail for framing on a sidewalk over the bay. it went into the tire and somehow got bent 180 degrees to looking like a U and came back out the same side of the wheel.

Stay the hell away from center medians and shoulders. TN is notorious for taking their time cleaning highways. Prob because the brainiacs in this state have ridiculous speed limits and they are chicken to go out there and clean them. Frustrates the hell out of me....

The only time I’ve ever gotten a flat tire was from running over a whole ass muffler in the road. The IHRA was in town and I assume it fell off of one of those

No. Why would they?
Tires aren't warranted for road hazards that I know of under standard warranty.
I now have a road hazard warranty on all the tires from my tire vendor. Cheaper than the cost of one tire replacement.

I didn't think they would replace it for free. I was confused by your original post. It's just the way it read to me. I wasn't sure. Sorry about that.

My tire vender got the replacement OEM tire for $250. They road hazard warranty was half of that so now at least I have coverage for replacement on all 4 if needed.
