Vantrue N4S dash cam install

Hello everyone. I recently purchased myself a Vantrue N4S with the hardwire kit. I was wondering if anyone has had experience installing something like this. I get a bit nervous about messing with the trim in the truck because I don’t want to damage things. Anyone have good advice on the best route for the wires and how best to remove the trim pieces so as not to damage anything? Also, any good recommendations on which fuse slots to tap into?

While I may go the route of using a mirror tap, for now I just ran the USB power wire along the headliner (passenger side) around the A-pillar an inch or so and then under rubber trim down to glove box. Then in back of glove box under center console to 12V adapter in console.
No prying of anything just used fingers.
Now I use both USB connections so that's why I went to 12v under arm rest. Depending on voltage you maybe could use those.

Well, I’m trying to hardwire into the fuse box, but I don’t quite know which slots to tap into. I know slot 4 runs hot all the time so I want to use that as my battery positive line, but I can’t find one that runs hot when the car is on that I could tap into

Yeah, I have a Viofo A229 on my F150 and I didn’t like the app interface that much. I figured I’d give the Vantrue a try and I’m happy so far.
