Wanting to buy a RR like everybody else.

i got 2 quotes today from dealers.

First one was 74k (out the door price, including financing)

Second is $70k in cash price

Last night my wife and I were figuring out dinner. I wanted something grilled, she wanted pasta, and for a second it looked like we were eating separate meals in silence. Then we talked it out, swapped a few things around, chicken became the compromise, and we landed on something that wasn’t either's original idea but still felt like a win for both of us.

Markups seem to be a western US thing. That's Why I bought mine 1500 miles away. There's a dealership here in Phoenix that has a new Bronco Raptor on their showroom floor for $150K. They know some idiot will eventually buy it.

I got mine at Horne Freedom Ford in Saturday for MSRP. I got lucky they had an allocation.

After all of this discussion, was wondering why the OP would not find one out of State, pay MSRP or less, pay to ship it open or closed container, or go get it and drive it, or pay a service to drive it, and still pay less than what the dealers in SOCAL are gouging people for? Could even pay a headhunter to negotiate and get it and still pay less. That works out, even with trading in. As of today, there are 357 2025 RR for sale in the US on Trucar. Trucar is about 15% less than actual on hand inventory, so that is about 400 trucks to pick from. Seems to me buying local is going to cost big $$$ or just wait for the Ranger Tremor and maybe the dealers will now gouge that model and deal on RR. Or look for a used 2024 or 2025 still under warranty.

Yes, I calculated interest for 90 days. The max I could pay on 1st payment was $48k, 2nd payment is $12k then payoff on 3rd payment. Total interest paid is about $500 which is $2k off MRSP. From what I discovered, this is how dealerships are getting kick backs from banks for sending them loan opportunities.

Yes I have. My last F150 came with a financing rebate of $2k if you financed via Ford Credit with no payoff restrictions. Paid the balance on day 14, incurred no interest charge. Dealers mostly use local banks for customers with good credit. So I imagine there would be some restrictions on loan payoff.

All the dealers within 100+ miles are essentially useless unless you want to give them the "sucker tax". My broker isn't having much luck further out either. Lots of dealers aren't even returning his calls.

I had looked in 2024 and didn't have any luck, so I got a Canyon AT4X. When that ended violently a month ago, I was really hoping in 2026 that it would be a lot easier to get one of these trucks. Apparently not so much...

There’s a member here who works at A dealer in OK. He had/has a RR in Marsh Gray, at sticker, I believe.

I got mine at Akins. Didn't pay anywhere close to the $70k I see being tossed around in this thread. Yikes.

For what it's worth, I'm about to ship a Land Cruiser about 1,100 miles in a dedicated, enclosed trailer for about $1,900. Gets cheaper if you go open. There are definitely options. Probably the best one is to fly out and drive back if you've got the time. No better way to learn about your new truck than a great experience along the way!
