There's "aftermarket" glass, basically different brands of windshields, ford oem being the most expensive. If you call safelight they use brands that are known to work with the windshield cameras, as some do interfere, but they warranty the windshield%cameras working with it, so they won't use something that won't, if you go to them they will make the insurance claim as well. Thats how it worked with my subaru, $850 windshield and camera alignment, cost me $0 out the door, premiums did not raise, but im sure thats based on amount of claims you've had in past years.
It doesn’t raise premiums? A claim, any claim, will most likely lock you in to that insurance company for the next 3 years and they know it. They will tell you the claim was not a factor in why your premiums went up, it was everything but the claim. Then go ask another insurance company for a quote and one of the 1st questions is “have you had any claims in the last 3 years”. The insurance company just entered your information into a national data base that will show your claim That’s the gotcha moment.
Insurance companies don’t lose money, which is why they own many of the tallest, most expensive buildings around.

Does the bed mat and tailgate mat fasten into place, and how?
I have this setup. The tailgate mat uses the factory screws to fasten in place, the bed mat just lays in there, its pretty snug.

Applied Redline Shine 2 year ceramic coating after decon and clay bar: Redline Shine - 2 Year 7H Ceramic Coating 60mL Kit (2oz bottle)

Wasn't bad at all, in fact it was easier than most waxes I've used in the past. Even if it only lasted 1 year I would do it.

PPF is too expensive for me and some people have had serious issues getting it off the vehicle if left on too long. I can deal with minor dings, dents and small rock chips, but I hate oxidation and rust over large portions of the paint / body work.

So, for me, ceramic coating or waxes do the job of preventing oxidation, corrosion and even small surface scratches / scuffs from light contact even if they don't stop stone chips or deep scratches. I find it a good and practical compromise without huge effort or expense.

I posted in the wrong thread, but last week I added sound deadening to all four doors. I can’t get over how much of an improvement this was. Tin can sound is gone and the doors have a premium heft to them. Noticeably quieter inside too. I’m not brave enough to do the headliner.
I used this video to walk me through the process

New shoes. Stock size. Had it down to Yoko's new Geolandar A/T4 G018 and the new Wildpeak AT4W. Yoko G015's have been on most of my personal/work vehicles so went with brand loyalty.

Going to be replacing the factory Wranglers on mine before the snow stars flying around here in December. How's the experience been thus far with the G018s?

So far, great on dry, wet and dirt but temperatures haven't dropped enough yet for me to verify snow and ice. Drive very nice, noise seemed on par with the stock Wranglers. I'd say they feel better than the G015s I've run, but the Ranger in general feels better than the F-150's I had them on.

They went on around the same time as my tonneau/x-bars, but less than 1L/100 change in fuel economy between them (<2MPG)

Upgraded the door speakers to some Focal, very pleased with the sound, now I just need to get a powered sub that fits where the factory one is.

Focal IS Ford 690 & IC Ford 165.webp
The Crutchfield website states that these do not fit a 2025 Ranger Lariat. I have the BO stereo. I assume you put these in just fine and that the Crutchfield site just hasn't caught up to all the 2025 models? Thanks in advance
