Do they just pop-in or do you need to glue them or something?

They are two pieces screwed together. One on top and one on bottom sandwiching the running board with four screws.Do they just pop-in or do you need to glue them or something?
There is a back plate the top plate screws into. The top fits into the existing hole in the running board perfectly, the back plate is larger than the hole underneath. Screwing them together keeps them in place.Do they just pop-in or do you need to glue them or something?
Ordered my Goat Fabrication Rock Sliders! I have them on my Bronco and they are awesome. Can't wait for these to get built and delivered so I can put them on. I have the Angled version on the Bronco and ordered the same for the RR. Every time the wife gets in the RR she has a comment about the running boards scraping the back of her leg and asks why they aren't like the Bronco. So I am fixing it.
Here is the link to save the google typing and thinking.

Looks awesome!I finally (!!!) got my RR and immediately (i.e., before it left the dealership) swapped out the stock 285/70R17 KO3s with 285/75R17 KO3s. Same width, 1" taller, and picked up the white raised lettering (I prefer the old school look) and a load E rating. In my opinion, this is the tire size they should have shipped with.
Next up is painting the skid plate and lower bumper black with sprain-on bed liner, adding frame mounted rock sliders / side steps and some RPG adjustable perch collars to take out most of the rake as she has settled more since these pics were taken. Adjustable since eventually I plan to get an A.R.E. CX topper and will likely need to adjust collars to maintain near level look.
Lastly, just for comparison, a few pics of my RR with my dad's 2020 Ranger.

Is it silver for a reason? I'd be worried what that black paint's gonna do once you scrub something.Powder coated the skid plate much better than the silver IMO. I need to now paint the silver piece where the two parking sensors are as well.

You definitely have a garage queen there!Xpel XR plus tint and PPF done. Now I have to polish the rest of the truck and ceramic coat.

I don’t plan on rock crawling and if it gets messed up I can always re powder coat. It was only $100.Is it silver for a reason? I'd be worried what that black paint's gonna do once you scrub something.
Any tips? Any special tools you used?Installed the Ford J-Braces today. Free with points, my labor. Fairly straightforward but took 2.5 hours. Worth it for piece of mind.
