Adaptive cruise is amazing and you aren't required to use it. Really helps fatigue on long drives.

Once you've used surround cameras, you don't want to go back. Extremely handy in parking and off-road situations. Allows you to spot yourself on obstacles.

In fact, I'd agree that you don't really NEED any of it. But for a $5k difference for all those conveniences and features together is a no-brainer for me. People will spend $2-$3k for a better stereo system alone.
Exactly.

I wasn’t sure about adaptive cruise control until I got it on my Ranger 5g Lariat.. It really is.a nice feature on long interstate drives. I am now spoiled and don’t want to buy another vehicle withou it.

I'm not a big car audio guy, so it makes no difference to me. The stock system in my F150 XL is more than sufficient for me to listen to music. But going by what a lot of people on the Bronco forum say, the upgraded B&O system is a waste of money,
Agreed, have had both. To me they sound almost identical (or identical enough), don't waste the money for the B&O.

XLT will save me 5-6k and still give me adaptive cruise and integrated trailer brake controller.
It's not like lariat has rear ac or AC seats. So fuck it.

I don't care about zone lighting, push button start, turn signal indicators in body color mirrors, Ford nav, and the audio isn't worth that. I also detest leather

I would get an XLT, because I don’t need all the extra electronic crap and “luxury” items, much less do I want to pay extra for it. My wife would prefer remote start capability, but I’ve survived all these years using a metal key, so I think we can manage.

Plus, the XLT lust looks better. IMO.
Looking closer at the order guide, I just realized that while the XLT doesn’t have Intelligent Access and Pushbutton Start, it does come with a standard Remote Start keyfob, which makes XLT an even easier choice for me…

Good afternoon ranger fanatics!

This is my first post here. I’ve been lurking here for quite some time and could use your alls input. As a little background I currently have a beat to hell 08 f150 lariat and looking to downsize, as I work in downtown. I still need a truck for hobbies. The 2.3L would suit me fine as I don’t tow much.

I’ve been watching This truck for years now, much like many of you, and I’ve known I’m either getting the lariat or XLT. My question is for those getting the XLT compared to the lariat. Other than price point of about 5k difference, what has sold you on the lariat? I’m on the fence.
in 2019 it was the rear window option, the auto folding mirrors, LED head lights and tail lights, NAV...etc., etc. and then it was only $3500 more.

Also, while the Lariat has LED projector headlights, the XLT does have LED reflectors, so at least they’re not crappy halogens...

Pretty sure you can adjust to Standard Cruise Control in the driver assistance settings guys! If you like lariat, and that's your only reasoning just change the settings.

The 22019 brouchure made it easier to see what you got in Lariat over XLT and it was $3500 more. It was not a hard decision for me to go Lariat and at $5K more would do it again.

I am getting a Lariat for a few reasons. I have a car that comes better equipped than the XLT (granted it's about 10k cheaper). I don't want to downgrade on anything from tech to anything else. I am also buying a truck to have (hopefully) for a long time. I want to upgrade over what I had, I want to enjoy my truck, I want to forget im in a truck while having the utility of a truck. ACC is a plus for me and if I don't like it I can turn it off. Leather seats being hot hasn't been much of an issue in my current (black) car and I live in the southwest (yay 100+ weather). Upgraded tech is the name of the game for me too and general comforts. I am young, I have a decent job, a long time car payment isn't going to put me out.

TLDR: I just like the Lariat

Lariat is the boomer trim level.

I'll be curious as to how good the stereo is on the XLT.

Otherwise, its the best value and you can add almost all upgrades if you want.

The worst is the requirement for the key startup. I am certain Toyota will not do this on their lower trims.

I would get the Lariat if it wasn't the mental hurdle of paying more than 50k for a vehicle.
