What's that noise???

My XLT FX4 has 1300km on it. It just started making a noise between 0-25km/h. I can only describe it as something like a kids phaser gun. It stops when the vehicle does. I'm taking it into the dealer tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I don't know that I've experienced the noise you mention, but I have had a whistling noise which happens when I have the air vents closed. If I open them slightly it stops.

I also have a rattle on the passenger side interior that is driving me nuts.

Most likely center carrier I had it on my 2019

Have it on my 24 RR and looks to be drive line related. Possibly front drive shaft.

I’ve got a rattle that’s going to bother me until it’s fixed. I hear it over good sized bumps like potholes and manhole covers. sort of a buzzy rattle noise that comes from the passenger side of the dashboard. Anyone else?

I can't tell exactly where it's coming from but it sounds like the passenger side dash area. I need to have someone else drive so I can sit there and figure it out.

Both my driver and passenger doors have a rattle every time I hit the slightest bump. It’s infuriating.. I even took the door off the tried to put sound deadener everywhere I could and still have it. I suspect it’s the plastic insert because it’s just glued to another piece of plastic.

No rattles of note, but I do have a slight whistling noise around the upper driver's door seal area (basically right by my left ear) at highway speeds. Dealer said they couldn't adjust it.

My driver's side door started rattling at ~300 miles. I took off the door panel and put some goon tape along the top edge of the door from which the panel hangs. I also put some small pieces between where the top piece contacts the back side of the door panel (picture below), along with various other small spots. That got rid of 90% of the rattle. My passenger door just started a few days ago and is nearly as bad as the driver's side was.

It’s a terrible door design. I had to take mine back off because that silver metal piece that the door sits on is just metal on metal and it started rattling bad. I wrapped lined the door beneath it and covered it in anti vibration material and it’s been fine since. I still have to get around to my passenger door. Disappointing for a 58K truck.

I also hear a rattle from the passenger side. I’m thinking it’s coming from inside the front passenger door.

Ok I gave up. Traded it back in. Could not sit an wait for total cam phaser melt down. Still not sure how Ford lets this known issue occur. But I'm out.

Did they give you a good deal at least? I am going onto my third prop shaft in 6000km. That combined with paint defects and a new brief grinding noise on cold start up has me considering the same thing. I'm considering giving Chevy a try for the first time in my life.

They did. I shopped it around. It had 2800 miles. To much bullshit. I got tired of thinking what I bad wrapped up into it. I think anyone can get within a couple grand of what they paid. But here in Florida I see dealer lots stacking them up at MSRP. I jumped now fearing a decline.
