What's the best way to take this hose off

Does the hose fit over a barb? Wasn't sure if walking it off with a thin thickness/medium width flathead is feasible

If it’s just the hose itself you need to remove use a heat gun, it will slip right off.

Pretty sure you need a special ford tool to remove that.

What does it do. Reason for wishing to take it off. A side picture would be helpful.
I would say try to figure out what type of connection system is used.
The way the cover look's the heat gun could help to loosen cover. Maybe the cover will roll up.
Look to see if you can get the part first.

The 90 with the hose, I want to be able to put on the Clean Side Separator I got with my Dual catch can

Could be using the AC line quick disconnect, I know the tool does need certain clearance though to slip below and inside those type of connectors. I had to release 2 for air intake and dual catch can

Check out this YouTube Video from IAG (for the same type installation, more or less), I believe it shows just how that line is removed, not positive though...

I remember watching that video and it's well done, I feel destroying the fitting as shown does seem a bit wasteful but also it's odd that the clearance to access with a ac quick disconnect tool is so non existent from factory

Agreed, I was dismayed at having to clip the sides of these connectors. I believe a tool does exist, but must be cost prohibitive, at least from Ford. I wonder if a cheaper one is available from say Amazon or eBay for this type connector.
Too late now for me, as I've already installed the IAG unit and working quite well (near as I can tell, at least no noticeable issues thus far).

IAG seems to make very good products. AFR in their CAI instructions explained the options but I can say with confidence a entire AC line quick disconnect tool kit ca be purchased cheaper than one replacement connector. The reason I wanted to preserve all connectors is to put back stock parts for smog if needed...
