Why is the spare speed limited?

They are not balanced
ah interesting. I had not thought of something like that, assumed all new tires would simply be tip top shape and A-ok. WTF ford. Not to doubt arsenal, but is that common for full size spares?

I relocated my spare to a chase rack and tru bead locks, I was surprised to see no balancing weights on the rim, they are KOs, not a chance it didn’t need it. Rim is full size based on the stock rim. Prolly saves Ford thousands over the full line of vehicles, or mine was a ¥£{<…¥ up!

I didn't know the Ranger shipped with a space saving spare. Will a full size fit under there?
Yes. They come from factory with a full size spare on a full rim in Australia. So we get x5 full tyres and wheels here from factory. You can even fit a full 35in tyre in the spare wheel space too
