Just seems there are always times when you need a pickup. I went to Home Depot one evening. They had some clearance bags of mulch. I grabbed 10 and helped another guy load his 10 on a cart. I got mine loaded in the truck and watched him stuff 6 bags in the trunk of his sedan. He put the other 4 on his passenger seat. When I unloaded, one of the bags was full of ants. Glad I didn’t have them inside.

So in this .0001 % scenario, what about the other 99.9999% of the time. :)

The RANGER with a good bedcover is basically the perfect vehicle for me, my stuff in the back stays basically dry. (I still have to do the tailgate seals and the bed rails.) But I live in a 50 year old house with a lot of landscaping. I also wood work as a hobby.
At this point being retired, I have owned my truck for 6 months and haven’t had anyone in my backseat yet. We take my wife’s car when we are moving other people or have the grandson in his car seat.
I moved away from SUV’s when I had my auto parts business and had to load transmissions and other greasy smelly parts inside my Eddie Bauer Expedition.

I keep seeing people say the Everest will never come to the US because of the Bronco and Explorer. I think that's a garbage reason, but an unfortunately true assessment. Still, I would love one because it checks all the boxes for a capable overlanding rig that's also nice enough for city use. I'd be hard pressed not to trade in my Raptor for an Everest Tremor. Anyone else here feel the same way about the Everest? Would you consider or buy one if available in the US?
Sorry, you're gonna have to disagree with FoMoCo since they're the ones that keep saying the US will never get the Everest, and rest of the world will never get the Bronco... But newest press release I saw said we'll never get the Ranger hybrid now because "we" have the F 150 and Maverick hybrids... Personally I'd vote we get the Ranger Hybrid and give the Maverick Hybrid to someone else

Coming from a long history of Jeeps and most recently a Grand Cherokee, I would be interested in the Everest if it was similar to my Ranger Raptor with lockers, suspension etc.
The diesel engine is a non-starter for me and so would a hybrid version of either diesel or gas.
Before buying my Raptor I looked at new Grand Cherokee models and with all the off road features, the only available drivetrain was plug in electric (which they were having a recall for them catching on fire).
I looked at Toyota Landcruiser, but same thing, hybrid drivetrain.
I’m happy to have bought American and am happy with my RR, but a similar equipped Everest would have definitely peaked my interest.

If Everest was offered stateside (esp. in something like a WildTrak trim with a HOSS setup) I would sell my Explorer the very next day.

I don't buy the argument that it would cannibalize sales from other Ford models; Ford doesn't offer anything like a 4Runner - they are essentially not even playing in that market.

Bronco = Jeep (minus SFA obviously) = Body on frame off-road focused w/ removable roof
Explorer = Highlander / Pilot = road cruiser
Everest = 4Runner = somewhere in the middle, but body on frame means you can turn it into a relatively capable off-roader without pissing off your wife (also, sits taller than an explorer, which soccer moms like)

It's not just about what YOU would buy; it's about what your WIFE or GIRLFRIEND will accept. Many would accept an Everest...far fewer would accept a Bronco.

Not a chance. I would have kept my Bronco Badlands at that point. I have far more use for a truck than another SUV. I'll let the wife enjoy the SUV. I think i'd be up for getting the wife one if it was available. Then i could ditch her '22 Explorer for a full frame rig.

Not for me. The RR does all the boring truck stuff pretty well but also all the fun stuff too. Towing is better than Bronco's / Jeeps (although their approach / departure angles are better for crawling if that's your core focus).

It does family trips for my wife and youngest son (other kids are out of the house now in their early 20's so they no longer count), it fills the sports car desire with its torque rich high-powered 3.0L TT V6, 4.27 rear end and well-tuned 10-speed, it does a wide variety of off-road stuff like sand dunes, dirt / gravel trails, novice to intermediate crawling stuff, and now with a Tonneau cover and DLC film applied to the powertrain, I get about 20~21 MPG traveling 78mph on the freeway.

Mine is Pro Cal tuned, so 455 hp / 536 lb-ft is hard to find in an SUV that isn't some exotic German brand like BMW or Mercedes that cost 3x that of my house and aren't really designed for off-road.

The Everest would give up on the utility of the pickup bed while not offering anything else besides better approach / departure for crawling / rough terrain. Given that it's mid-sized, 3rd row is pretty much limited to school aged children. That and it's not really geared towards high-speed stuff, so I would really be giving up the high-speed rally / baja nature of the truck for a more traditional Bronco / Jeep type vehicle....so why not just buy a Bronco at that point which is also based on the T6 platform?

The way I see it is that the Everest is the "global Bronco" for Ford because that body style / seating arrangement sells in the rest of the world. In NA, their primary competition isn't so much Toyota, it's Jeep! So, it's tailored for NA where Jeep has a much larger presence vs. the rest of the world where they are more limited, so their main competitor OCONUS is Toyota's 4Runner or similar traditional style SUV's and the Everest body style makes sense.

The explorer is really a unibody road going SUV that's more like a cross over than truck. The Explorer ST is pretty quick and can pull nearly 0.90g's on a corner...not really an off-road SUV and it was based off of the last generation of Taurus. The Expedition is based on the F-150 and is a true full-size body on frame design really only sold in the states or maybe Canada.

I would trade to an Everest as I don’t need an SUV. But now that the Everest is on my radar I think Ford should definitely trade out the explorer for it. I hate that the US doesn’t have the same access to cars as other countries. I considered buying a Toyota Helix diesel overseas and shipping it to the US but discovered it wouldn’t even pass EPA standards anyways. The EPA needs to die. They are ruining our vehicles and cutting us off from some great options. Thought we were supposed to be free here.

It doesnt seem like Ford thinks much of the Ranger here in the U.S.A. ?
They have a great hybrid version world wide and they wont bring it here.
They only built a few more than 100,000 Rangers thus far since 2024 new model came out.
Production delays/recalls hurt sales some, but the maverick and F150 sales are given priority and the Ranger takes a back seat to them.
