Wait…okay i want to be clear, i am merely questioning you, not calling you a liar or making accusations haha i know how these forums can get…
Are you telling me that
1. You think the 2023 model will Launch in Sept?
2. You have had an actual conversation with Jim Farley about this?
If I read that right, please keep us posted to any other insider info you may have !
Yeah seems dubious that Farley and the Ford PR department are telling the rest of the world Job 1 will be May 2023 but letting the OP know that secretly they will be rolling off the line at the end of this summer.

Farley already confirmed in multiple interviews and via his Twitter account that production of the 2023 models will start at MAP in spring of 2023. Order books may open late this summer or in the fall but trucks won't be on the road until around this time next year.

sounds like the current 22 will roll over into 23 until the all-new Ranger is up and running.

I’m in Utah. One thing the GM of the dealership told me that makes this situation better is that “the list” is starting from scratch.

The nightmare with the Broncos was caused by them splitting allocations between the list of preorders and then randomly assigning a specific amount of vehicles that weren’t preordered based on previous sales and population in the area. It just went haywire. Then they goofed it on Bronco Raptor orders by offering them to those who didn’t have their orders fulfilled on 2021 Raptors. They are still trying to dig out of that mess.

Meanwhile… when they opened the Lightning list, they offered to let people jump to the front of that line if they still had an unfilled Bronco order. They also had people that had preordered F150’s claiming they thought they were reserving Lightnings.

Apparently the Ranger list is starting fresh and the regular Ranger and the Raptor Ranger will be two separate lists that should open at the same time. Dealers can take feelers now and create a customer account and lock them in as a customer contact. It’s probably wise to just go talk to a GM or a finance lead or someone over a department and ask what they are doing and see if you can lock one in.
which dealership I put $1000 down at Larry Miller truck

Originally thought I'd really like a stab at running the baby Powerstroke but with the lease and county gravel roads I drive daily the extra weight of the diesel would play hell on front-end parts/repairs also the current ridiculousness of diesel >$1.50 per gallon more than gasoline settled that short internal debate.
I'll eat my hat if Ford offers a diesel Ranger in the US, considering the 3L was dropped from the F-150.

I am #2 on my dealers list. I have been wanting a Ranger since they were reintroduced here in the US. I was days away from ordering a 22 Tremor when I saw the Raptor announcement. I have since been champing at the bit to get one. I called three dealers in the area, one told me they would put me on their list but that they would be selling at 20k over MSRP and another dealer said they were not keeping a list, it would be FCFS. That third dealer though... Hot DOG! #2.....

I think there is still a lot of confusion and misinformation, but if you put your order in on 07/18/2022 for a 2023 Ranger a Raptor will not be available and what's going to show up at your dealership will be a current gen Ranger. Order banks will probably open sometime in the Spring of 2023 for the next gen 2024 Ranger including the Raptor. I know it's confusing because North America is one year behind the rest of the world. Job #1 for the 2024 will likely be Summer 2023. It's still about a year out. Heck they haven't even shown the production version for North America yet and probably won't until after January 1st of 2023.

I agree- order this month and you will get a new 2023 but it won't be the next gen.............

Oh that is interesting that they are taking orders already since it hasn't been officially announce yet. Maybe I should call my dealer again and see what is up. Did you get any paperwork from them confirming your reservation?
I called my local (U.S.) dealer about the RR and they had no clue as to availability, pricing, ordering, etc.

I haven’t been talking to Jim Farley, but it’s officially official that when it comes to the Ranger Raptor, I officially have no clue as to availability, pricing, ordering, etc.

It can’t be in the Ford system yet, as they haven’t opened up the options. But I’m listed as #1 or #2 at my local dealership (they are going to flip a coin for fun since we both asked to put money down the same day… it makes no difference. They think their first allocation is going to be three trucks, so we are both covered.. Locked in at MSRP at MOST. $1000 fully refundable deposit. The 3.0 twin turbo V6 from the Explorer ST is the engine of choice.

I’ll be happy to track the progress of how it goes as we paddle along over the next four to six months. I’m excited. Right now my heart says to go for the “hero color” at release… orange. Talk me out of it. ;)

I’m in Utah as well. What dealership did you go through? I called most of them and they wouldn’t even let me put money down on one since the order banks are not open.

Want to know what the US order site will be and what options will be available? Confirmed already by marketing that the UK site is the same, but the steering wheel is on the other side and you pay in dollars instead of pounds. And yes, I did ask Jim Farley about orders and yes he did tell me what was said before. Stuff comes up. He and I have talked many times. I don’t hang out with him. But I’ve sent him many jokes and random things as we connected through classic mustang racing a long time ago. He doesn’t control supppy lines. He puts in requests (aka demands) to every group in the form of goals and does what he can as a figurehead to make it happen. To compare… Lee Iacocca never actually went on a line and built a minivan. Haha. Here is the UK site… essentially you get to pick your exterior color and that’s it. I picked code orange and it looks shmancy.

I would be surprise if Ford does not follow the way their site is setup in NA. Take a look at the Bronco. Build Your Bronco® (ford.ca)
Maybe the Ranger Raptor will be limited in how you can order it. I would be surprised if all of a sudden Ford made the NA site like the ROW.
