After my bad ordering experience with my bronco, even though I was a first day confirmation, and the poor quality stds, especially the mic roof and now this debacle over how to order a Raptor ranger and if you'll ever get it, I'm burned. I've wanted a ranger raptor since they first appeared in Europe long ago. Great size and sporty. But ford's continued botching of product launches is growing fatiguing.

I'm leaning very hard toward a trd pro tacoma and am 1st on my local dealer's list for one. Sporty, great torque and capability, and hybrid mpg instead of paltry ecoboost mpg.

This is the color combo I'm considering.

You joined the forum all of 2 weeks ago and are already being a smart ass. If you read through the whole thread, I already explained my reasoning.
A smart ass, how’s that? When someone points to the truth or the facts it makes them a smart ass? Lol ?
Why does it matter when I joined, am I supposed to be mute because I joined 2 weeks ago? FYI, I did read the whole thread, and I read all the other threads. I still said what I said. Go ahead and cancel your order or stop complaining

I love the idea that Toyota is impervious to any hiccups or issues an that a TRD hybrid pro is going to be available in abundance let alone have some phenomenal MPG. I wish you luck!

Tyvm. Hoping everyone loves what ever trucks they wind up with. I'm keeping my options open since ford has struggled with recent product launches. We will see what happens as I have a rraptor still on order and a trd pro being pursued by my local Toyota dealer.

It's not like I stuck my finger in the wind and made a guess. The entire industry was expecting Ford to announce sooner than they did. Even the CEO officially announced early 2022 that the new Ranger/RRaptor were coming to the US as a 2024 model, giving Ford and US customers nearly 2 full years to anticipate the launch. Everyone knows that new model years are typically landing on lots by September.

I knew I'd be waiting up to a year and I was okay with that but I didn't expect Ford to sit on their thumbs during an impending strike and let everything get pushed back by another 6 months to a year.

It's okay to let people be mad about it. They have every right to be frustrated as they have put life on hold, and money down, to wait for something they were promised was coming much sooner. It's not like we're waiting for a new toaster, a vehicle is a HUGE deal in people's lives and is the most expensive purchase we can possibly make outside of a home.
I guess you were unaware they still had to build 2023 Rangers and a shitload of Broncos in the very same factory all the way up until the Strike? That's not sitting on their thumbs. Sorry the world isn't conforming to your exacting timelines, that's life. A little tip for you I learned during my Maverick reservation to delivery experience: NEVER under any circumstances tie anything important in your life to purchasing a new vehicle you have to order in advance and wait for. You will only be disappointed and stressed out over it.

Don't forget, they stopped building Rangers because they could build a F150 for everybody. Except those of us that didn't want a full size truck.
Not true. They left the Compact market in USA only because they couldn't compete with Toyota's market domination and couldn't devote resources to even make a serious go of it. The segment disappeared losing most players while remaining few morphed their trucks into mid-size. Ford decided to rejoin in 2019 when the margins and business case penciled out. They also correctly identified there was still a large demand for a Compact and Maverick is a grand slam for them with no real competition in the segment. Everyone else is playing catch up or not even trying because they missed the boat.

Well I went another direction as well. Have a 2024 Nissan Frontier SV King Cab in transit and deposit on it to secure it. Had my Maverick for a year now as a place holder waiting for a 6G Ranger SCab + 6' bed combo to be announced. Did my research on the Frontier while waiting and finally drove 1 and was sold. Maverick will be up for Sale when new truck arrives by end of the year. :)

I have my fingers crossed that Ford will launch properly this time. With the shutdown with the holiday with the delays on the launch of the ranger. I hope they are taking this time too. Review quality and launch successfully. We will see.

Whatever floats yalls boat. The Ranger Raptor is worth the wait for me. I do not want a Chevy, I think they're junk. And I certainly don't feel like I just HAVE to have a brand new truck at this very moment and can't wait.

I may just wait for the 2025 if they can’t produce the 2.7 in a timely manner. Maybe they will figure out how to reincorporate the rear vent they took away between now and then.

I didn’t get far enough to bail. When power ford and charmers ford both said they wanted a $30,000 adm I told them where to stick their vehicles and walked out with middle fingers waving. Now I’m waiting for 6 months for a Taco TRD PRO no adm. no ranger is worth $90,000
You can't be serious. Holy crap, these Ford dealers are off rails. The new Tacoma's will be coming out in Q1/24 and I have a feeling, they will drive pretty good.

That truck looks pretty slick! How does it drive compared to a Ranger? I don't think you'll be alone with your thinking.

Well, compared to a 23 I test drove, I think it rides comparable. To me, it has a much more comfortable ride. To clarify, I didn’t bail because I was tired of waiting. My transmission blew out on my old truck and I needed a vehicle. I had enough for a solid down payment so I sprung at this one. When my lariat order does come in, I will take a glance at it and maybe trade if I really love it. However I’m falling in love with my Colorado. Heated and cooled seats, rear air vents, and many more physical buttons!
