We may only be delayed by a few months (so far) but that doesn't negate that people have been waiting and anticipating for longer. The lack of clear communication, transparency and realistic expectations from Ford hurts that much more when you started shopping a year ago without an end in sight.

It doesn't hurt me to wait, but I dislike the uncertainty and I hope those of us who do bail find something really nice.

I have a 24 Lariat on order, still can't believe that I have done this, the 24 Ranger Lariat is $6,165.00 MSRP higher thanMSRP of my 23, not a few hundred, or even a thousand, but 18% price increase over last years truck. I think they are going to have some crazy discounts to get anyone to Purschase, Base 24 Ranger is a little over 1K difference compared to a base 24 F150
Do you really not see the justified increase in the new ranger? Its like miles above the previous gen in updating and is priced competitively in its market.

What everyone needs to realize is that non of us are paying customers. Not a single dime from you ordering has gone to ford and they owe you nothing in the meantime. Did they drop the ball on a lot of stuff? Sure, but you were never guaranteed a product or service and all timelines are subject to shifting. We have all created our own expectations and the disappointment does in large part lie on ourselves. The ranger is not going to be high demand like hybrid mavericks or broncos, im pretty positive outside of Raptors, no one is gonna get rolled over a model year.

I'm not trying to simp for them, but I played this song and dance with my maverick(SOLD) so I knew exactly how this would go. Order it, move on like normal until its going down the line and once its shipped, then maybe start to make your moves.

I currently have a 2019 F150 Platinum msrp was $67,400
2024 F150 Platinum msrp is $85,030
increase of $17,630 with same options.
That is a average increase per year of $3,526
Looking to order a 2024 Ranger Lariat msrp $51,530

They added a few more packages that are standard equipment now whereas your MY23 you had to order it, that's where some of the price comes from.

This is exactly what I am talking about. The whole supply shortage is bullshit because theres 100 F150s and mach-e sitting on each dealer lot. The whole strike delay is bull shit, because they had 4 years to prevent a strike. Whats going to happen when this current contract expires in 4 years right when everyone is scrambling to put in warranty claims.

I woud love the Ranger Raptor as much as the next guy, but I am not even scheduled. And the chances are pretty good that Ford is just going to build 3000 of these Raptors and say thats all the allocations for 2024, and cite all the above BS listed above.
For the past two months every post of yours is something negative about the Ranger. You’ve made point after point of how Ford made you angry, didn’t meet your expectations, etc. In every one of these threads you talk about how the competition is better, how Ford is losing your business. I’m not trying to be antagonizing, but why don’t you just bite the bullet and buy something else already? No offense, but it’s kind of getting a bit boring to see your rants all the time. Plenty of us have been though the same challenges and delays you have yet still seem to keep a positive attitude. This isn’t an attack on you at all, but maybe you ought to step back and take some time away from here since it’s making you so upset. Again, I’m saying this with the upmost of respect.

You became impatient and you made an assumption and it was an incorrect assumption. That's not Ford's fault that you sold your vehicle months before we had any official dates for this truck.

"People have been waiting for over a year for a '24 ranger" (direct quote) implies ford gave us a date and pushed things back for a year beyond that. That isn't even close to happening. We aren't even to half of a year of delays from when Ford's initial announcement said it would be.

It's not like I stuck my finger in the wind and made a guess. The entire industry was expecting Ford to announce sooner than they did. Even the CEO officially announced early 2022 that the new Ranger/RRaptor were coming to the US as a 2024 model, giving Ford and US customers nearly 2 full years to anticipate the launch. Everyone knows that new model years are typically landing on lots by September.

I knew I'd be waiting up to a year and I was okay with that but I didn't expect Ford to sit on their thumbs during an impending strike and let everything get pushed back by another 6 months to a year.

It's okay to let people be mad about it. They have every right to be frustrated as they have put life on hold, and money down, to wait for something they were promised was coming much sooner. It's not like we're waiting for a new toaster, a vehicle is a HUGE deal in people's lives and is the most expensive purchase we can possibly make outside of a home.

do you think they enjoy not selling vehicles? where do you find any logic in the idea that they don't want these trucks out?
Where does my statement say anything about them not wanting these trucks out?

Their not losing customers, you order a 2024 RR and settled on a 2023 Chevy .
I didn't settle on a 2023 Chevy, that was the guy that started this thread.

Thank you you are right for the most part. I am pretty fed up with this company and their process. I will try and take a break from the forum, but this forum and a few others is the few I regularly visit while on downtime at work and sitting on the toilet.

I don't mean to get people down on the Ranger so I will refrain from posting as much in the future.

We definitely like having you around but I think a shift to more constructive conversation would do us all some good. Theoretically in a month and a half we might start seeing some shipments and reviews and that should pick up everyone’s spirits!

yes I am completely aware of that, biggest item would be the Nav is now standard, something I did not even think of ordering on my 22 or 23 Lariat, the most useless item in a vehicle since the best nav is on your phone through apple car play or just by plugging your phone in, we have 2 other cars with factory nav and never use them, by the time I have figured them out I am at my destination. oh and standard is the tailgate damper LOL

I ordered a RR on May 26th 2023, the first day that the order bank opened. My dealer said that day that it would be six to eight months before I might see it. Well, today is day 180 so I’m at the six month mark & I honestly don’t think I’ll see it at the eight month mark either. That being said, I’m kind of looking at it now like I did when I quit smoking. If I go back now, all the time up until now will have just been wasted so now I’ve got to stick with it. Am I frustrated, ya, a little but I’m way closer now than when I started this charade of shit!!😂😂
