Hrmm, anyone know what the weight different is for the v6 vs 4 cylinder?
I'm just wondering how much payload I'll lose.
Really the only reason I want it is for pulling the trailer I plan to buy and I think it would be nice for the mountain passes and on ramps.

Should pull a trailer well.

Ford spec page shows it weighs roughly 212 lbs more and that you lose 170ish lbs in payload. To gain so much hp and torque would be well worth it.

Yes the normal engine does a good job.
I don't see there being any issue towing with the v6 at all.
Just curious of how much payload I'd lose by changing engine.
Not a huge deal. I will likely go into the dealership this weekend.

$2,100 then losing the $1000 pre-order might make me stick with my original order.

Yes still over 1700

The 1805 is on 4 x2 not 4x4. Other options also bring down the max. I believe my XLT with off road packages and advanced tow package is at 1514 lbs for the payload. It could be more, but that seems to be what I remember by looking at other vehicles with similar options.

I have reached out to my dealer to see if they can order a 2.7 liter v6 for me at MSRP. Hopefully they don't pull any market adjustments on me.
