Ford Procal Performance Tune Installed!

I had my tune installed this morning. Which meant the dealership pushed a button for me as I had already done all the prep work. Took like seven minutes to upload and install. Dealership didn’t charge me. Which was cool.

I got about 30 miles on it. I tried to drive similar to when I went to dealership.MPG was slightly better after tune but by only .3 mpg so that could be just noise. There’s a slightly more aggressive tone to the exhaust. It’s noticeably quicker with acceleration. Big difference I noticed is the shifting was improved.

I got the ProCal tune installed by Ford yesterday. Haven't driven a lot yet but I do notice a difference. Surprisingly it seems like I get better gas mileage when I am driving conservatively than before the tune. I got 20MPG on the way home from the dealership and I had never seen any MPG number that started with a 2 before the tune. Anyone else get MPG improvements?

So envious. I drove my Livernois tuned 2019 like a sports car and loved it. I have to skip this time with RR because I have a 8year 125k warrantee I don't want to put to waste. But, I might cave in later and cancel the ESP warrantee if "I feel the Need, the NEED for SPEED!"

I purchased the extended warranty from for as well. I would hate to waste that.

Howdy. My ford tune on my bronco 2.7 increased my mpg. I’m averaging about 20-21mpg. Up from 17.

Please let us know if you noticed any MPG differences. I know it’s not why you buy a raptor for MPG but anything helps right.

Okay so it isn't just me. I'm seeing similar improvements. Looks like the tune will pay for itself in gas savings.

Got my shipment from Lethal yesterday, and there's a little confusion on how to register the warranty. If you go to the M-9603-REB30 listing on Ford Performance, and follow the warranty links, it eventually takes you to a document (from 2021) that states:



So, since this document is three years old, I got on the Ford Performance Chat to verify those instructions were still valid. Here is the transcript of the chat:

This is what I have been trying to explain...it's just a CYA. There is no way to incorrectly install the tune, and the tune has been well tested and safe for stock RR components I am sure. Save the receipt purely in case you are hassled by a service manager who is looking for a way out of any warranty claim you may have in the future (which is extremely unlikely)

Anyone got a lead on a place with these in stock? I had to cancel my order from previous place who kept jerking me around with when it was going to ship. I was going to order from Lethal but they want to charge me tax. This is really frustrating.

Damn I'm jealous! I've got the tune but the 3 Ford dealers around me will not install it, and give me the run around with different reasons. I'm at a loss of what to do at this point. I tried a couple other ASE shops but they were worried with it being so new.

We took mine on a 160mi round trip this weekend. Mileage seemed about the same, but did not hand calculate. Only have 2kmi on mine so far, and I have read that mileage improves over the 1st 5k or so

For what it's worth... Even if Ford ended up not covering powertrain work due to the tune, I think the ESP is likely still worth it for other things. I took the head light option as well. Replacing those headlights are super expensive and I don't know how Ford could possibly blame the the tune on headlights going.. Same with some of the other computer components.

Just my two cents.

Customer states headlight is malfunctioning adn to fix under warranty.

Warranty Claim Denied: Customer installed after market tune which cause the truck to exceed to speed at which light could project from the head lights thus damaging the headlight fluid reservoir due to excess pressure.

You’re going to get charged tax from any company in the US you order it from. This is universal, unless you’re ordering from a state except for Oregon.

You’re not going to get around it. It’s reciprocal from state to state.

I wasn't getting charged from the first company I ordered from. That being said, I was able to get it sorted out with someone else. Back on the order list but now I have to wait until October. Womp womp.
