I was on the site to find something else and made the mistake of reading thru this thread again.... lolSeriously, you need to stop pushing your misinformation agenda. Almost every post you’ve commented regarding the Ford Performance tune is wrong.
As per Ford performance; “The tune doesn’t affect the factory Ford warranty at all.“ 3 years 36 months, 5 year/60K or any extended warranty purchased by the owner thru Ford.
You’re either ignoring post #170 all together or are unable to comprehend what was given by Ford Performance. Either way, you’re attempting to misinform members.🫵![]()
Ok, I’ve read this statement from you about 10 times in other posts and you keep repeating the same information. We all get it and understand.Don’t play coy………….You’re insinuating and misinforming him that Ford won’t honor his extended warranty if he adds the Ford Performance tune. The warranty specified on the Procal and tune alone is 3 years 36K mile.
The ford factory warranty isn’t dependent upon this warranty, in no way shape or form. In fact, the factory warranty and any owner purchased extended warranty is intact, as per Ford Performance.
This was provided directly from a Ford Performance Supervision and posted publically post #170 in other related thread.
You fully understand ha he was clearly talking about adding the tune and feared losing his extended warranty. Instead of telling him the truth, you choose to misinform him. This isn’t the first time you’ve made several misinformed comments between this and the other thread.
The truth is there to read, if you have a mind too. However, continuing to claim differently, is both spreading misinformation and false.![]()
All true, however years ago I was able to butter up a isuzu service manager with 2 cases of beer at EVERY visit...He would tell me "take the lift kit off and the big tires and we'll get the tranny replaced for you under warranty " the truck went through 3 transmissions...and on another occasion he said " replace the smashed oil pan, and we'll warranty the engine." More beer = more warranty! You gotta understand that some of these folks have owned imports in the past where the manufacturer WOULD blackball your entire vehicle from any warranty claims nationwide if tuned. AFAIK Ford has never had a policy like that, and my experience w/my Bronco and the Ford tune has been that there have been no questions asked (I WAS denied a warranty claim because of suspension lift tho). The facts are that every service manager in the Ford universe will try to weasel out of any warranty claim they can. Best to not give them any reasons/ideas...you do know those guys have the internet too right?
You sir are a MADMAN! LOL I took the Bronco to a car show this weekend (local 4x4 club wanted to show off some of our stuff), and the 1st thing everybody looking at it said was "bet that voided the warranty"! AFAIK the warranty is still good, the local service manager has looked at it, and he thinks it's coolAll true, however years ago I was able to butter up a isuzu service manager with 2 cases of beer at EVERY visit...He would tell me "take the lift kit off and the big tires and we'll get the tranny replaced for you under warranty " the truck went through 3 transmissions...and on another occasion he said " replace the smashed oil pan, and we'll warranty the engine." By the time I got rid of the truck, the warranty costs were higher than the original purchase price.
These days I don't even bother with warranty, I just fix shit myself.
I can't figure out where to order the tune fromGot the Ford Performance Tune installed on Friday and drove from PA to NJ to drop 6, one hundred pound boxes to be shipped to the Philippines on Saturday. My take of the tune so far…. Definitely more power, and it seems it kicks in from the second you hit the gas pedal. I was able to easily pass cars on 295 with the load, but the fun part was coming home empty. I pushed it a little harder than normal to see what she had, and she didn’t disappoint. Plenty of power and the transmission shifting was much smoother than before the tune. Oh, and I stayed in normal mode for the whole trip. Normal mode feels like sport mode did before the tune. As for gas mileage, I was sitting at 17.3mpg for the last month and yesterday it stayed at that. I believe if I had driven it responsibly and without a 600 pound load it might have increased a little. So in a nutshell, I’m happy with it and would highly recommend it
Gee wiz and you’ve just proven that it’s all owner related denials……….…..thanks for the affirmation/comfirmation. Looks like you may need to make better choices, with what dealerships you work for. (Mechanic or service attendant?)Ok, I’ve read this statement from you about 10 times in other posts and you keep repeating the same information. We all get it and understand.
The facts and registered paperwork may say one thing- “Ford will Honor all warranties” that’s really great…
Now here is a little common sense and a history lesson- I worked for Ford (02’-07’) I have been in the Military since then, but I do get re-hired and have worked part time through the years at many locations and positions within Ford. The truth is this… (since people have their own mind as you say) there are good dealers and bad (most are all about the bottom line and not the people). I’ve seen warranty claims denied for these following reasons:
Screen Display not working- Denied due to LED lights plugged in the cigarette lighter (Ford 2002 zx2)
Engine blown- denied due to a aftermarket box air filter (2004 Ford Focus SVT)
Engine blown- racing (owner announced it) and aftermarket blow off valve (2017 Ford Focus ST)
Cam phaser issue- Denied due to failure to adhere to break in procedures (because Customer stated they “went hard out of the box” (2022 F150 Raptor)
The above list is just the dumbest things I’ve seen warranties denied for, but there are many many more. Sure, These customers should’ve been smarter, but that doesn’t change the fact that Ford should’ve covered all of these issues. People have a right to second-guess what Ford performance says versus what your dealer is gonna tell you to your face.
So what’s your point? You’re agreeing with what I said…………..(since people have their own mind as you say)
I ordered mine through Blue Oval Industries as soon as they announced they were taking pre-orders. They’re great to deal with. I also ordered my stock mud flaps from themI can't figure out where to order the tune from
You should clarify if those were claims which were submitted and then bounced, or if the service mgr just refused to warranty them. Doesn't sound like bounced claims to meOk, I’ve read this statement from you about 10 times in other posts and you keep repeating the same information. We all get it and understand.

I had the tune Installed today and I’m trusting my dealer. That doesn’t mean I won’t get screwed in the future. I spent days researching F150 Raptor owners that legitimately tried to sue Ford for not fixing trucks due to no fault of their own. You’ve stated your personal experience and your Ford performance contact- Are you or him going to cover the repair cost if you’re wrong?Gee wiz and you’ve just proven that it’s all owner related denials……….…..thanks for the affirmation/comfirmation. Let’s see, again………..over 40 years + owning Fords with Ford Performance, Mountune and Cobb performance parts on various models………….never had a warranty denial, go figure……………. Even a complete clutch warrantied on a GT500, with a Ford Performance Supercharger and tune upgrade. Thanks again Capt. Obvious, for affirming owner stupidity.
Maybe I need to post it again, to prove the point about developing a good relationship with a specific dealership GM and service manager?
Pushing misinformation to what is contrary to Ford Performance has commented, is an issue for owners attempting to find out the truth. Just like others, I can make up mind and have, without the naysayers pushing false misinformation.
As far as getting it……you don’t speak for anyone else or myself, just yourself. So what’s your point? You’re agreeing with what I said…………..
Now, you may have read it 10 times or the references to the post #170. However, I posted it twice in its entirety in the original thread and nothing here, except reference to it in several posts for owners, who didn’t read it. So, you can stop with your false agenda and commentary.
Oh yeah, by chance are you purchasing and installing the Ford Performance RR tune by chance…………? 🫵![]()
