How are you folks mitigating the lack of rear seat vents?

Are you sticking a USB fan in the back somewhere (which ones, where)? Has someone found a workaround to install the vents from a non-US ranger?

For context, I already have the under-seat vent extenders, but I'm all ears (and eyes) for ideas on how you're getting more airflow around the rear of the cab.
here in EU we have those, and we are very happy about it :)

My dealer can order the driver's side grab handle assembly even though it's only on non US vehicles.. So maybe go to your dealer parts person and ask them to look up rear center console air vents and maybe you can order them just like the grab handle assembly? Once they do a search, all the avaliable parts in that area of the vehicle come on their screen. My parts guy was even shocked that he could order that.
Like with the thread I linked above, there is the ability to order those parts, but it doesn't make sense to do that unless the ducting is there behind (and I don't think it is from the time I took it apart briefly to run antenna wiring). Same with the grab handle - I believe the sub-structure underneath doesn't allow it given the airbag is in the way.... and I'm not taking out the airbag for a grab handle.

I toyaly agree with your sentiments as well on not taking the air bag out.

Recent post on this, someone got a grab handle from a foreign market, could not make it work.

sorry, can’t find it, there are 8 pages of posts that come up with grab handle in the search term. I know you have been chasing it for quite awhile now, but isn’t an issue for me.
I just recall someone posting about getting one from a foreign country (Philippines maybe?) . I remember him posting that he got it in, was very handy and mechanically inclined and was going to attempt it over the weekend and post results. His conclusion was that it would not work. I can only tell you that I read the post between mid August and probably 2 months ago.

Ford Ranger Rear Seat Vents - Workarounds? IMG_5191 (1)

I picked up 2 USB fans off of Amazon to solve the problem. I have them in my Bronco as well. It allows the back seat passengers to get air movement so they don't throw up on the back of my head. They clip on the headrest stake.

Thanks. So this kind of fan was exactly what I had in my Amazon cart before I decided to start a thread here ?

I didn't have ac in a vehicle till around 2002. We only got ac when My parent's wanted us to have a vehicle with ac for our baby. They signed for us to get a 95 jeep cherokee so my wife drove that with our son and i drove the no ac vehicle still

I be the snarky ahole- god how did we all survive our childhoods riding around in cars without AC.
Growing up no AC here either. My dad used to tell us we had "dual 60's". Opened both wind wings and drove 60 MPH.

Wing windows were the saviour in my 65 mustang and 85 f150.

Installed the Bronco under seat vent extender in my RR today. 10 min job. Found putting the pieces together then opening the rear couple of catches and sliding it over the tube ends worked best. Then snapped back up fitting the carpet around the tubing. Gives a bit more length toward the back and looks better with the grille on it. Not much, but better than it was.
