So, last week (Friday 4/11) I ordered from the same link that was posted on Pg 3:

https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-instrument-panel-storage-compartment-n1wz2606202la

When i ordered, the part was still $52.25 + Shipping

a few days later, i got an email that the part is on back order and they will ship as soon as they get a new one in.

Today, i was at the dealer i bought my ranger from and thought, what the heck, might as well ask if there's any chance they have one in stock. Parts guy tells me nope, and not only that, no one in all of the USA has one. then he goes, "wait a minute, it has a new part number" so he looks up the new part number and:

The good news is, it is supposed to be released at the end of the month!

The bad news is, it's WAY more expensive!

I googled the Lariat part number "N1WZ2606202LA" and some sites already have the information that this part had been replaced by the N1WZ2606202LB, for 5x the price.

Guess the party is over and I arrived late :(

But let's be honest here, that 50 bucks was clearly wrong. I bought way smaller and simpler parts for more than that.

so, just got off the phone with the dealership that was handling my order.

they told me the part number I ordered was obsolete and the new part number was ~$245 and if I wanted to re-order it, they could have it in their warehouse in about 3 days. So (for now) i told them to just cancel my order. Was hoping they’d honor the original purchase price but didn’t expect them to. May still pursue this later as imo there’s just not enough in-cab storage. That being said i’m not utilizing what i do have, yet. Lol

I'm going to cancel my order too. it's been on order for two months now. Really don't need the extra room anyway. For $52 it was worth it but not for $245.

I got the same gig. After months of waiting, I contacted the vendor. Ford caught on and changed the part number and jacked the price up. Order canceled. Dealer said they would NOT honor the original deal.

Probably why they issued a new part number, so you could try to enforce the price on them.

I just ordered the N1WZ-2606202-LB Tray to add to my '24 XLT last week for $244 and am waiting for shipping, but in the meantime it looks like the price has increased to over $1100/$750 "on sale" from every seller I can find... Really hoping they don't cancel my order or this is just a temporary increase.

The dealer did ask for my VIN and pointed out the incompatibility and I flat up said I was installing it in my XLT as an upgrade... wonder if Ford has just finally decided they want no more of it.

Also debating emailing the seller to ask why they haven't shipped yet... it's been marked as "in stock" for 3 days now... Might be better to just wait given the situation.

That is insane, wonder if the demand for this might cause ford to include the option on all models in the future

Keep an eye on the "you pull it" junk yards. I will take a while, but Lariats will begin to show up there. Probably 2-3 years wait due to the portion of Ranger sales that are Lariats.
