Curious, I have not installed mine yet, but I did plan to follow their recommended masking of the holes seen in their install video. Did you use the masking tape and still get that sort of damage?I left a 3 star detailed review that amazingly hasn't been posted to there site. Quality of the lights and brightness are good, however the 7/16" drill bit they require to push the connector thru tore up my grill and the light clearly wont cover them, no matter what angle I held the drill.
POOR design for a tight space. They should've either used a smaller connection or bare wires going thru. Now I will have to use some spot putty to fix it. These pics are after I used various paints mixed to camouflage the missing paint and gouged plastic.
