well sand is i believe a 2025 color only

and for some reason sand lariats at least in southern California are relatively rare.

i was lucky to find mine. A buyer had ordered it and changed their mind.

but @ExpoGuy I do see a couple sand lariat 4x4 at Galpin ford

I see in the latest window stickers desert sand is an up charge paint

my only prediction for 2026 is that it will be the same but they will delete a feature that will make us scratch our heads and you will pay more either by changing the base price and/or by paying more for options.

Thanks for this information.
But when I click on View Details it takes me to Page not found screen. I think Ford isn't updating
their Search Inventory. When I go directly to Galpin's site no Desert Sand Rangers are found.

I live 10 mins away from Galpin and have a appointment with them next week. Hopefully I can still order a 2025 Ranger in the color and configuration I want.

Does it matter who pays?

As a country, the US has been living off a proverbial credit card for decades. That bill is going to come due and so as a country the US has to start making its own widgets, no more treating China or others as our servants.
That's very hard to have all American made. Just some Country's will be known for producing exceptional parts.

We have screwed our selves with the " Dollar store mentality "

I am the last of the Baby Boomers 1964. I am a Machinist by trade.

A Rant we do not fix things any more. A disposable society.

Engineers have things figured out to the finite. Cost Saves to Quality.
A hard dance to play.

Just saying if you screw with the established supply chain. Quality will nose dive .

Global is the way to Go.

Was so happy Ford did not take a handout from your government the last time the US Auto Industry was in trouble.

Very pleased over the Tacoma the Ranger is mainly made assembled in the US.

Thank You , Ford for trying to be Fiscally Responsible.

As of July 2025, China is paying the lions share. I'll bet currently China is paying even more. Take your TDS somewhere else. This a Ranger forum.

https://bipartisanpolicy.org/explainer/tariff-tracker/

https://www.piie.com/research/piie-...cker-how-much-us-collecting-which-imports-are

You’re misinterpreting the data. Both sites show how much tariff revenue the U.S. collects, not who’s actually paying those tariffs.

Because China is our largest source of imports, the U.S. naturally collects more tariff revenue on Chinese goods, but that doesn’t mean China is paying it.

In fact, PIIE directly contradicts the idea that China’s paying:
“Who’s Paying Trump’s Tariffs So Far? It’s US Businesses.”

But, on topic - my dealer just emailed and said Order Banks are opening today and they'd send me details as soon as they can access. TBD if true 🤞

If we both pay a portion of the tariffs, and they raise the price, aren't we paying the whole tariff?

That use to be true but it no longer is. Mexico is now our largest source of imports.

Correct, thanks for the clarification. Both Canada and Mexico are larger partners than China but most of the goods are covered under USMCA.

Because of all the variables and the slightly hidden nature of pricing, it’s hard to directly measure the incidence of tariffs. Economists have spent decades building models, studying what happens to prices and profits under tariffs, and trying to discern cause and effect.

Different market dynamics will result in different distributions of the cost.

I for one hope the price of chinese rubber footballs approaches that of U.S. made leather footballs. Because then it could become profitable for a company to move it’s cheap football factory from Guangdong to Peoria.

Also of note, half of all U.S. imports are intermediate goods, such as aluminum that goes into U.S. made washing machines. Here, the cost of the tariffs will be born by some combination of the foreign aluminum exporter (and its suppliers), the U.S. manufacturer using the aluminum, the retailer selling the washing machines, and the consumer.

Nobody can state with certainty who will pay the costs of Trump’s taxes on foreign goods.

Surely U.S. consumers will pay some significant portion. How much will be eaten by foreign manufacturers, distributors, U.S. manufacturers, and U.S. retailers? There’s no way to know exactly. All taxes create distortions in the economy. However, fact is Trump's tariffs are generating record high revenues and aanother fact is the chinese are paying the most.

Just saying there should probably be a new topic started on this whole Tarif topic.

I am thinking it is not really all that related to this 2026 Ranger changes info topic.

Just saying.

I saw it on facebook (so it must be true). 🙂 Someone said they ordered a 2026 avalanche Ranger Raptor and azure gray was deleted. It might be true? 🙂

What is an Avalanche Ranger Raptor?
Avalanche was a Chevy SUV/Truck sort of thing about a decade or so ago.
No idea what it means in the Ford world? LOL
