No I don't know the tongue weight, but 6,400 lbs is no problem and I think it can handle 7,500 lbs. ,And if you get a hitch that will give you 10% tongue weight for peice of mind you will be ok.
Pulling is easy stopping is the tricky part!

^^^ Spent 8 years in the Navy. Learned what BOAT meant before I ever thought about buying any kind of boat. Maintaining any water vessel is work...fresh water, sea water, fishing boat, cabin cruiser, yacht or ship. Nope, I'll gladly hand someone some gas money if they invite me out on a ride, but I have no desire to ever own one. The same goes for airplanes. A guy at work bought one. Thought he got a deal. He got it alright. Needed an updated radio system that cost 10K right off the bat. Started doing his touch and goes to qualify to fly the plane s it was much faster than his previous model, and found out during a routine inspection the engine had an issue. It is currently sitting with the block out of the plane undergoing a rebuild. I feel sorry for him. His sufferage is my lesson learned however. I agree No to planes and boats. Women and Mustangs are almost more than I can afford.

Do you have advanced towing option with console knob and if so do you like it ?
No,I do not have it. In fact, I didn't get any tow package, silly me. But I did add a Draw Tite receiver that cost about $150 and took 30 minutes to install myself.

What brake controller did you end up getting for your STX for towing?
Most boat trailers have surge brakes, so he may not need it. Electric brakes aren't good in water.

Hate to be that guy but, by the looks of your carolina squat, looks like your boat could afford to sit back a little further on your trailer (i.e. looks tongue heavy), I'd say about 8" back on the winch post will do...truck will steer better too!
Nice boat BTW!

Same for me. My dad had two boats when i was in jr high and high school. One was for skiing and stuff like that, a 19 foot open bow, and the other was for scuba diving and fishing, a 29 foot cabin cruiser. I learned really fast that way to much upkeep money for me.

Sounds like a good price.

It was time to take my 24' Baylinger out of the water. The ramp is steep and the boat, trailer and gear weighed 6,400. My Ranger did a great job. Sorry no pics of the ramp I was busy.

Nice set-up. I tow my 25' Boston Whaler with my Ranger no problem. I do think you need to raise the ball mount on the truck. Your trailer should be level, your a bit unbalanced with more weight on the trailer front axle. Tongue weight for towing a boat should ideally be about 13%, so pay attention if you raise the ball mount as you might have to reposition the boat on the trailer. Try and borrow a tongue scale like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007REJTGI?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_21

Are you talking about my drop? I used a 5 3/4" , I also have a 3 1/2" drop. I thought the trailer looked level.

It could just be the picture. It looks like there might a bit to much drop. The front axle on the trailer looks like its carrying more weight then the rear axle. put a level on the frame rail of the trailer - if its level, all is good.

The level is a good idea.

easiest way to see that the load is balanced on a tandem axle trailer is to measure the shackle flex between both axles (the center link acts as a shackle); the distance from shackle to frame should be the same for both axles. If you have torsion axles, measure the distance between spindle arm and frame.
