I just slapped on the 35x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires with Method MR703 +35 offset wheels. The only mod I did to make these fit was change out the crash bars with Readylift high clearance ones. So far no rubbing on normal driving. Looks like I would have to do some trimming in the front wheel well in the rear fender to clear the tires while rock crawling. Looks like the +35 offset wheels is the safe bet when going bigger with tires.

the 703's look great and with the 35's. I was wanting the machined finish 703's as well but Method said they would be out of stock until end of May. I ended up ordering the matte gray from Ford Performance since they are hub centric and the original color I wanted anyways.

@J.Dub how is the BYND camper treating you? Any regrets? I’ve was set on a GFC but these look awesome. What do you love? What do you hate? I know Jessi Rizzo has had one on his taco for a while now. I’ve never seen him saw anything negative about it but I also know the owner is a good buddy of his. He may even work there for all I know. They look great and offer a lot of goodies compared to other campers. I’m just hesitant due to them being manufactured in China. I figured I’d get your take on it before reaching out to BYND.
So far I like it. This is my fast ever camper so I have no comparison. I finally got to test it out in Death Valley and it held up nice. My wife even bashed the top part into a car port! Still opens and close normal. It's really well insulated and kept my son and I warm with 38 degree weather. The things I don't like about it is the choices of the rear opening panel... I don't like the middle turn buckle to open and close the rear panel. It makes it kind of hard to open/close and it moves the window higher and makes the rear window pretty much useless to see out of from the driver seat. The front cab window some reason has a lot of screws installed in random places. The rear weather flap on the rear panel was too big and I had to cut it down smaller to make it easier to close the tailgate. Thats about it for the dislikes. Other than that its a solid camper and worth the price compared to GFC... I do know Chris the owner of BYND4x4 and no Jessi doesn't work for him. lol. Chris pretty much runs the whole operation himself for right now.

Nope, I will see if I will rub when I take it to death valley, Going to bring my tools if I have to do any cutting while out there.

After your trip to Death Valley, did you have to make any modifications? I'm curious as I never thought 35s would fit w/out a lift for anything other than mall crawling.

I didn’t make any yet but I do need to after rubbing a little from my recent trip. Looks like I need to cut some of the inner fender bottom corner in the rear. At full lock and some articulation it started to rub but on flat roads or jumps it’s wasn’t.

Load D rating. I like this load rating because the side walls ploom out at 15 psi. I had a load E tire before and I had to go down to 5psi until it plooms.

Here is the picture of how it looks after doing some trimming. Thats all I needed to do to clear the 35" tires.

How are you feeling about the 12.5's? Im going back and forth about 11.5's vs 12.5's.

Does your steering feel heavier? Driving characteristic changes?
The steering doesn't feel heavier than before. Wider is always better for performance on the road and off-road. Nothing really change for the driving characteristics other than my gas mileage is suffering a lot. Currently its at 14mpg average.

Do you have a link for the crash bars you purchased? I can’t find them for the 2024/2025 ranger. Did you have to recalibrate with FORScan after installing the larger tires to accommodate for the higher ride height, or was that not necessary since it wasn’t lifted at this time?

Did you get D or E load range tires? Hows the ride quality compared to oem tires?

ReadyLift Ford Ranger crash bars. I had someone recalibrate the ride height and bigger tires so the calibration of the odometer and speedo would be correct.

Load D. I didn't want to go with Load E again because it made the ride too stiff and you have to go pretty low on the PSI on the tires to make a ploom.
