I swapped out my drivers side headrest with an adjustable one that I had from my old Maverick and it worked fine... I think the posts are all pretty universal as far as distance between them goes...

I've been in vehicles where the headrest forced me into uncomfortable positions but I haven't had that issue with the Ranger although I've only driven it 50 miles since delivery. I'll have to pay attention and see if I need to add this to my growing list of mods I can't live without.:)

The headrests on my former '17 F150 tilted. They were intrusive and always rotated back to what was probably a normal headrest position. Those on my follow-on Tacoma were intrusive. I bent the posts for trh Tacoma head rest so it tilted back a little.

After my first long drive today I see what you guys are talking about. I adjust my seat regularly on long drives to help with comfort and when I raised the front of the seat bottom and reclined the seat back a bit there were times I wanted to stretch my back but the headrest was in the way, keeping my head pushed slightly down. Will be following along to see which ones fit.

Another thing I found, on my Superduty the window sill was the perfect height for my elbow, and I could even lay my whole arm along it but not on the ranger, the sill is too high and the armrest is too low. Going to have to figure out something.

I bought the mustang headrest, it fits but it only tilts forward. It's marginally better but is still very uncomfortable. I've resorted to just turning the stock one backwards but it seems unsafe so I'm looking for a better solution. Bending the posts is probably my only option at this point.

That is unfortunate. If it is not too much to ask, could you possibly. post a picture with the mustang and ranger headrests side by side?

The only picture I've seen shows the mustang headset is tilted more upright than the ranger.

and I you wouldn't mind, what part number did you purchase?

Thanks!

Yeah I can take pictures when I get home later. I can't remember the part number but it was ridiculously priced to buy new at Ford (something like $160 or $200+ maybe) so I found it on ebay by searching 2024 mustang headrest. There is no ebay product page anymore because I bought it.
I found the part number by finding a 2024 mustang for sale online with the headrest I wanted and giving Ford that VIN.

Sorry guys abandon hope for the mustang headrest it doesn't solve the problem of the stock headrests pushing your head forward. It's not more comfortable with it on and they only tilt forward not back. The furthest back default position is still too far forward and wasn't an improvement in my opinion.

I just thought of something, I saw a picture of the interior of the Raptor Ranger. Can anyone attest that these are better? Maybe that's our solution? They look different.
