Did some negotiating on a new 2025 XL 4WD today...may pull trigger tomorrow. UPDATE: Bought the truck!!!

So I've been looking for a new truck recently. Was looking at Tacoma's and Frontier's, initially. But the 2025 Rangers have now caught my eye, and I started looking into them.

Anyway, after a couple of days of online research, I went to the dealer today and test drove a new '25 Ranger XL 4X4 Carbonized Grey. Truck comes with:

STX Appearence Package
Equipment Group 100A
Fog Lamps
17" Silver Painted aluminum wheels
Carpeted flooring ($145 option - but no charge)
Trailer Tow Package ($535 option - but no charge)

MSRP $39,225
Dealers advertised price $35,656
My negotiated Purchase Price including dealer & Military discounts $32,425

Final OTD price w/ Tax/Title, processing fee's, etc. $34,942

I'm not sure what everyone is paying elsewhere, but I'm very happy with this price I negotiated from what I'm see locally.
And especially since this truck has only been sitting on the dealers lot since 8/5/25.

I'm going to sleep on it tonight but i may pull the trigger tomorrow.

That’s the exact package that came with my 24, and I paid about 5 grand more. Congrats!

Thays a great price. I got the 2024 2wd version with rear locker for almost exactly thay price december of last year so that sounds really good.

I kind of wish i had gotten 4x4 but i have never needed it on any of my other vehicles. Still though

Which engine are you getting? I paid a lot more but I wanted an XLT with 301A and a 2.7 among other things so I ended up ordering it. Not much negotiation when you custom order.

Hang onto your wallet when they try and sell you the service plans and warranty plans.

Just remember there is no trailer brake controller and you will have to add extra wiring harness for the AEB. Plus you do not have ford assistant with the STX package even though the STX has sync 4.

the stx is a great option for price and options. to me, the best because you get so much.

When you press the button on the steering wheel you can ask it to play music that is on a usb instead of shuffling through hundred of songs while driving to find the one you want, it also can help go through settings and functions in the infotainment. This is the Ford "hands free" assistant.

Appreciate all the feedback guys. Well, I went back and got’er done today!
I actually did a little more negotiating and got them to throw in a free Patriot Spray-in Bedliner.
I ended up trading in an old beater 2003 RAV 4 I had at the last minute for $1k.

They had to “shuffle” some numbers around on my purchase sheet to get my bottom line OTD price to jive ie, listing the free bedliner as being $450 (it is actually a $699 add on option).

There also Was a few dollars reduction in titling fees.

So, with all that said, the final OTD price I negotiated yesterday was $34,942.

And today’s price that I negotiated and purchased it for, including the $1,000 trade-in credit, plus free spray-in bedliner was .... $33, 909.11 OTD
I couldn’t be happier

Yes, I did, actually(and legally), but I didn't have to present it! Lol!

I got the 2.3L Ecoboost.

Yeah, I denied their warranty pitches. I'm going to get one from Granger instead.
