That's is a good price. A new truck out the door under $35K, wow. Did you have a gun? :)

Which engine are you getting? I paid a lot more but I wanted an XLT with 301A and a 2.7 among other things so I ended up ordering it. Not much negotiation when you custom order.

Hang onto your wallet when they try and sell you the service plans and warranty plans.
Unfortunately, the 2.7 V6 is not available on the XL-STX, and only on XLT or higher WITH 4x4.

Yeah, I would've loved to have the 2.7 as well if it were available in this trim package.
But for my needs, and capabilities (or lack thereof), I wanted the trim package available with the least amount of tech, so I had to make that conscession.
But that 2.7 is definitely nice.

Great deal! I just bought nearly the exact same truck last week, same color and everything.
Only difference is mine also has the rear locker.

I ended up getting it for $34,750 OTD including tax, title, fees, etc.

Wow! You got a great deal as well. Congrats! That rear locker sure is a nice feature to have when you need it.

Yea I didn't have a locker on my last truck. Can't say I ever really needed one, but may be nice to have if I do more serious off-roading in the future.

If the 2.7 was available in the STX, that's the truck I would be getting. Still debating if the 2.3 is adequate or if I want to get all the extras with the XLT. Decisions....

It's always fun to ponder options. 🤔 😁
The 2.3 will do all that I will likely ever ask of it, but it would still nice to have that extra oomph of that the 2.7 if needed.
Good luck with whichever you choose, I'm sure you will be happy with it.

Adequate for what?
It has same towing as the 2.7. Many 5G owners pull 5K plus with the 2.3.
2.7 has a lower cargo capacity due to the heavier engine.

Fantastic, as per here in Australia losing our car industry to the Chinese because people won't pay asking price. Soon your truck industry will be swamped by cheap LDVs etc. If you can afford it, pay it. Atleast the money you spend goes back in to the local community.

Well, I can't speak for the Aussie's, but dealers here, for the most part, have high enough markups built into their advertised "already marked down low prices" that they expect for people to at least try to negotiate better pricing.
Unless they otherwise state that their prices are "no haggle", which more and more seem to be doing, and I have no issue with that at all.

I've been investing in Real Estate for 30+ years where negotiating, both on the buying and selling side, as well as with contractors services for rehab, etc, is not only common place, but is to be expected.
There are not many things of substantial value that I will automatically agree to purchase without first trying negotiate a discount.
And quite frankly, IMO, it is simply foolish not to. But everyone has their own opinions on this, I'm sure.
One thing I can assure you, the dealer I bought this truck from still made a decent ROI, had he not, he wouldn't have allowed the deal to close.
