How to get refund for 110v/12v plug in bed?

2024 XLT

Paid extra to have the 110v/12v plugs in the bed, except they've never worked from the day I took delivery.

Now many months later and having actually needed it a few times, I'm...... Disappointed. The service guy and parts guy are telling me that they're backordered with no ETA.

This feature has now failed to materialize and I'm done. Who do I start with to get refunded for that extra I paid for?

Contact Ford (corporate) to discuss your options. They should be able to help prioritze parts for your dealer and might compensate you for your inconvenience.

Somewhat same, never worked day 1. Ordered parts in early August, still no parts available. Disappointing, let me know what you end up doing on it so I can take appropriate action.

What do you mean 'paid extra'? The 120V/12V power supplies in cab and bed were standard items on the 2024 XLT.

So, you probably won't get a refund, but they should definitely fix it.
Did you know this about the outlets?
Are you getting any type of indicators?

Note: The power outlet provides up to 400 Watts when the vehicle is in park (P) and it may be reduced when the vehicle is in drive (D). This wattage is divided between multiple outlets when in use at the same time.
Note: The power outlet turns off when you switch off the ignition, or when the battery voltage drops below 11 volts.

Do not use the power outlet for these types of devices:

• Cathode ray tube type televisions.
• Motor loads, for example vacuum cleaners, electric saws and other electric power tools, or compressor-driven refrigerators.
• Measuring devices which process precise data, for example medical equipment or measuring equipment.
• Other appliances requiring an extremely stable power supply, for example microcomputer-controlled electric blankets or touch sensor lamps.

The power outlet indicator illuminates to indicate system status.

Off	When the indicator is off, there is no power to the outlet.

If this is directed towards me, yes it is a factory install. Just because its factory doesn't mean it's going to work.

It wasn't directed at you. OP said he paid extra, I just wondered why he paid extra when it's a standard feature, not an add on.
And I definitely agree, whether factory or add on, it needs to be fixed.

I I use the 110 I have it connected to a battery charger which I connected to a 12 volt AMG battery in the bed I use on for ALL-TOP 12V Air Compressor.

I was a little confused at first, I had to read that a second time. I thought you meant that you use the 110VAC outlet to run a 12VDC battery charger to charge the trucks battery.

I got a 25
xlt w/ 301a and high tech package and it doesn't have the power supplies.

Power supplies were standard features on '24 models.
Staring with '25, they became and add on "convenience package", convenient for Ford to charge an extra $570. You would do better with adding your own.

I called Ford today to see what they could do. They created a ticket for it and an hour later someone called back saying they are shipping a new converter to dealer tomorrow to fix the issue.
try calling Ford and see if they can do the same for you.

Dude Your dealer sucks! Why have they NOT ordered the parts for you and fixed this issue
