I just installed the rough country a few days ago and I am loving them! A little annoying of an install especially with my mudflaps but very happy with the look afterwards

wish they used all the existing tabs/holes but they do feel secure

2024 XLT FX4, 2.7. Toyo Open Country R/T 275/70R17 on factory 17 x 7.5 FX4 wheels. Stock FX4 suspension, no mods. No rubbing or clearance issues. Very happy with the combination.

Do you have a picture between the tire and knuckle

- 2.5” superlift level
-bfg ko3 285/70/17 tires
-fuel rebel 17x9 +1 mm

slight rub both wheel liners and air dam at 3/4- full lock. (Noticeable in reverse). The superlift left about 1/4”-3/8” rake still on the truck, which is why I would think those that have the 285/70/17 and the 2.3 (Lighter engine) are not having the slight rubbing issues. I’m going to go to a local shop where they have the same setup and they’re going to install a push pin into the liner to secure.The last two pics are of the Sand ranger and you can see the extra pin they put in the liner.

The truck looks good but I’ve never seen a truck this size with just 16s. Is there a functional advantage or is it just for aesthetic? Conversely, any disadvantages?

I like that look, not many with the bigger wheels like that on a raptor.

In general, more rubber to cushion the bumps and impacts, but also makes the steering feel less direct. I have no experience with 17in wheels with the same size tire, but I can’t imagine it being a very noticeable difference, the most noticeable change is the bigger heavier tires.

Main reason is I like the look of the 16s that I saw on Tacomas and Frontier and the wheels were much cheaper. Keep in mind there’s less tire options for the 16s.

Luckily no, no rubbing, and I didn't have to trim anything either and I have stock suspension...I was prepared to have to get a set of new crash bars or to remove them, but lucked out.
