I bought this bracket and frame kit from Amazon. The bracket can be attached to the two threaded inserts in the bumper through the slots in the bracket. Then, mount the license plate to the bracket using the 4 threaded inserts in the bracket. Keeps you from having to screw your plate directly into the plastic area. My dealer had screwed the dealer tag directly into the plastic. When I removed it, I sealed the holes with black epoxy and then attached the bracket.

Thanks. This was regarding the rear plate mounting.

ok, wasn't sure why I'd want to pay for a bracket when the rear plate area has holes for screws from the factory. I can screw the plate directly to the truck there without paying for a bracket. My truck is a North America build. Maybe yours isn't?

Yes, the rear license plate bracket.

Dumb question, but what screws/bolts are used for the rear license plate attachment? My truck came with none and there are something like 3 holes on either side (I'm guessing for different state's plate configurations). Looks like it's just holes drilled through the plastic mounting area with no threaded inserts, etc. Thanks in advance.
ALL 50 states have the same size plate, each COUNTRY/Continent will have very different plates/sizes and since the Ranger is sold worldwide, one rear plate "cowling" to fit all w different plates predrilled...

NBD but just had to let you know we use one and only one size license plate in USA

Hmm, mine is a North America build also, but the holes in the mounting area don’t match the spacing of the license plate holes. Hence, the mounting bracket. Maybe there was supposed to be something there that the dealer never installed. They just screwed the dealer tag straight into the plastic and it wasn’t even straight. That’s why I filled the holes and bought the bracket.

I did the same as Andy25RR above (Wisconsin, North Americe).
My back plate was also attached willy-nilly by the dealer with two screws on top.

Purchased a front license plate bracket from Amazon to use on the back.
In my searching, I did not find any "back" license plate brackets that met my expectations.

I used this Bell bracket Bell Plate Bracket and attached my plate to it using these screws Screws

Works very well and looks OEM. Just make sure you mount the bracket low enough so your tailgate doesn't interfere with the plate when it's dropped.
