I didn't know the RR came with 4A before purchasing it. I'm just used to slowing down to put the truck in 4H if it's nasty out or I come up to a road that isn't plowed yet. I've ended up using 4A all the time for marginal driving conditions where it's mostly fine. Having nearly spun out in 2H on black ice a few times when I ignored it initially, it's actually really useful.

I don't think so, I think the FX package has different shocks and skid plates to name a few.

Yeah, it does have better shocks and has skid plates, and rear locker.

I think the sport 2wd had some of the stuff though. I think i read it has skid plates, locker, but not shocks. As close as we are getting i geuss.

I need the skid plates and shocks. I have the locker. Than i need the sticker, ha ha ha

They made a Ranger Tremor in the early 2000's. I believe all the pkg. included was a booming stereo. You could get them in 4x2 or 4x4.

I debated with myself about rwd and a locker versus 4x4

i looked hard at a toyota Prerunner 6’ bed and rear locker

But….. finding one was like searching for unicorns and didn’t have some features I wanted.

i digress but Toyota might have a lot of trims and two cabs and beds, but some of those combos don’t exist.

but the beauty of the ford ranger is you can get rwd and a rear locker in all the trims, well except for raptor

Didn't read every reply, but I passed one of these on the highway the other day. Girlfriend asked what that was and I told her I didn't know they made them, and that it was maybe a slightly less off-road capable version of my RR. Is this possible?

It was a Gen 5.

Not less capable off-road, just differently capable. The RR is built for speed. The Tremor is built for slower trail work. I imagine both can conquer the same obstacles stock.

So it's possible I saw a Ford Ranger Tremor? I guess I skimmed but I thought this post was saying that it was "new for the first time later this year".
