PSA: Bed rail caps on '26 are thinner than '25... Tonneau covers will NOT fit

Got a response from EGR USA about the Rolltrac and dust defense kit, they said both items are under review.

Looking at the instslll instructions it looks like there is some adjustability in the brackets. They use a mounting rail through the bed bolt holes but attach the cover with slotted holes on a “L” bracket. I don’t have my truck yet to test fit so I’ll be waiting for someone here or EGR to confirm. The dust seal kit will likely be too tall but if it’s close I will probably just cut it down and paint the edge.

Looks like we are all on hold until these tonneau cover companies make updates to take care of this change in 2026.

Who makes them for Ford when ordering it with your truck? Who ever that company is should have the correct mounts I would hope, at least they better because mine is ordered with the factory cover

Did the website chat box thing with RealTruck today and they said the only tonneau they currently have that is going to fit the 2026 is this Lomax hard folding one.

Not sure. Ford accessories sites don't have any that will fit a 2026 right now. Hope this doesn't cause delays on production of those trucks having tonneau covers installed at production.

it will be close, as the rail is 1.15 inches and it does use the mounting holes

if they send a two part clamp it would work

Not sure. Ford accessories sites don't have any that will fit a 2026 right now. Hope this doesn't cause delays on production of those trucks having tonneau covers installed at production.

I thought all those items except spray in bed liner were dealer installed.

Maybe they are drop shipped to dealer, not sure.

I know I tried to find a ford offered tonneau since the others wont fit with the change and I had no luck. Called Ford and they said they were in the works but not available yet.

I will find out soon, I have one on it's way by rail right now that was ordered with the folding hard cover.

Not according to the order guide, the hard folding cover is factory installed.

Too expensive for the unpainted aluminum slats. Would've considered, but its 200 to 300 more than others with painted aluminum slats. Ill just be patient.

Edit: Also double check the part number. A google search takes you to that link, but it's not actually the same part number. I assume you're at Levittown or similar. I think it's so new that not all the sites have the correct info yet.
