Just out of curiosity, I might be leasing initially when my Ranger is built and delivered. Do you all feel that this upgrade will be viewed negatively by the dealership/technicians if I do in fact lease or potentially be a consideration for voiding warranty if financed?

I don't foresee any issue at all with adding this. Just keep your original yellow plastic plug in the dash and if you turn it in you always swap it out on your last oil change or something. Either way, if you are considering this because you want to do your own maintenance, I suggest you keep documentation and receipts of the maintenance and supplies in case that ever comes up at turn-in time. Now if you are planning to have the dealership do your oil changes, I wouldn't add this as I wouldn't trust the technician to use it correctly and/or not mess something up and then blame it on the modification. It is however a great addition if you are doing your own maintenance.

Thanks for the input, makes sense. I guess ultimately it'll depend on how I end up financing my truck and if it's a deal that includes X years of free maintenance.

Nice. I'm in the middle of the state near Greensboro.

Anyone else get one without the wave washer? I just got mine and there is no wave washer in the packaging.
Yeah that doesn't sound right. I'd suggest reaching out their support as they are pretty responsive.

Anyone using a dipstick pump instead of the drain?

Yes but not on a Ranger The drain plug is faster
And you can give the drivetrain and undercarriage a quick inspection for anything untoward.

Not to revive an old thread but I just installed mine and this feels weird. Has anyone had any problems up to now?

Not that I've had, mine looks just like that and I changed oil yesterday with no issues!
