I'm going to Mexico soon, I was wondering if I have the secondary speedometer set for KPH will the speed limiting function read the KPH signs and work the same as it does with MPH? Or can I change the main speedo to KPH and have the limiter work?

There’s a speed limiting function on the Ranger?
There are 2 off the top of my head.
One is the max governed speed of 107 ...I think...
The other concerns the Adaptive Cruise Control.

Here with a 2025 Wildtrak (4x4, most of the lariat stuff and then some).
In VEHICLE settings, configure UNITS in KPH. It will work perfectly.

For Speed Limiter, the radar doesnt read anything other than for the messages of collision prevention on the dash. It just doesnt work for that.

This is maybe a good place to ask - what is a secondary speedometer?

If your ranger is equipped with speed sign recognition, you can set your cruise control to maintain the posted speed limit. You can also set it to maintain a +- value of the posted speed limit. I’m not positive of the range, but think it’s something like 5 mph above or below the posted speed limit. The system uses the front camera to recognize speed limit signs, so I believe that the whole system would have to be set to metric readings. i I wonder if the language would have to be changed to spanish to function in Mexico?

Here is the AI generated answer I got when I searched if the speed sign recognition would work in Mexico:

To clarify I am not talking about the maximum governed speed of 107, I am talking about the "Limit" button on the steering wheel which helps keep you from speeding by not allowing you to exceed the speed limit under normal throttle pressure (you do not have to have the ACC engaged) As mentioned earlier, it can be set to a 5 MPH tolerance. It can also be over-ridden by just pressing the accelerator pedal harder.

This could be handy for certain villages that have a lot of confusion going on, along with multiple speed limit changes.

Do you simply change the units for the main speedo and don't bother with the secondary speedo?

Interesting. My XL does not have any of this, although I’ve never seen it on other vehicles equipped with adaptive cruise. Must be new and/or a Ford thing.

I think it is new. My 22 edge st and my 25 explorer st do not have that, but my 26 RR does have that feature

Looking at the MY2025 manual, the intelligent Speed Limiter section shows examples in both Imperial and Metric units so I assume it will work. You'll obviously need to switch to Metric as you've said. You could always test it out to be sure.

It looks like this feature came out in 2020 for the ranger. You have to have the copilot 360 assist package to have this feature.

Interesting, I have the 401a trim package on both my edge and explorer. Maybe I haven’t looked hard enough to find it in the vehicle settings. The ranger has a steering wheel button for it
