Not sure what this sound is but @RRaptorscallion0331 made a post about the same sound. Truck has just under 6k miles and no codes. Could this just be spool or possibly a bearing in one of the turbo's? Really don't want to go to the dealer if I can avoid it.

Anyone else have the same sound? @Goosetuned have you ever heard this before?

And man I need to clean the interior...

Hey thanks for starting this thread, dealership says they need at least 24hrs before they can do anything… to me that doesn’t make sense, just say “we’re backed up, you’d be better off bringing it in tomorrow “ there’s a mechanic shop that has ASE certified technicians and says they specialize in fords but if they only rely on a diagnostic scanner it may not show anything? I’m gonna give them a call and see, hey @Goosetuned , if I hooked up forscan to it is it possible I would see anything of importance? My boost tops out at 16psi and idles like 4-6 inHg is that the norm?

This seems to be the norm at the two dealers I've been to. You schedule an appointment and the truck sits on their lot for 1-2 days before they look at it. I checked for codes and have none. If it's a bearing in the turbo's I would think you would hear it after you shut down since the turbos would still be spinning unless it is load dependent. Which it seems like it is. I know the shop foreman at my dealer and will see if I can get him to drive with me.

10-4, I even tried telling the service adviser that I’m a silver tier member lol… I’m goin to take it into a local shop that said they could take a look at it on Friday; no warranty (I’m at 31.5k so not a dealbreaker) and $185 diagnostic fee (which I would pay in under the table cash if the dealership could see me sooner). Next option is going to a performance tuning shop and seeing if they’ll fix it in the process of installing a tune… I dunno I just don’t want to have the annoying sound at Texas Raptor Run next week..

All they need to do is a boost leak test. Either with smoke or just compressed air and listen. Then spray with soapy water. If I can’t get in to the the shop foreman this week I’ll check all the connections myself.
It would be nice to know what the boost levels should be. It’s not a fixed amount, it’s based on conditions. But 16 sounds close.

Just got back from the performance place, he looked under the hood while I rev’d it up but he noticed that my BOV was pretty loud and sensitive given that its stock. So either the diaphragm in the BOV went out, or it’s loud because it’s indicative of something else. Based on the hoses I’ve inspected when installing then uninstalling my CAI, it’s either hot side of passenger turbo, or the last leg of hose from airbox to driver side turbo, or the hot side of the driver turbo, or who tf knows… anyways, I won’t know anything else until Friday when the local shop takes a look at it.

This will be my first one, so I’m super stoked to learn what it’s all about, good idea! I’ll post a thread when I get back.

Boost seems a bit low, hard to say though with altitude.
I'm not sure forscan will help you much. If you do just look at tip/load actual vs desired. Make sure it's hitting its targets

What should it be at sea level with intake temps in the 120-130 range? I’m in FL. I’m guessing you have never heard that sound in the Ranger Raptor?

I’m north of Atlanta, just went out and did a few test hits to try to get the tires to break traction (different thread) and I hit 20-21 psi per the dash in sport mode. Intake temps were ~100-110, and I’m at 1200 feet above sea level

I saw 18 psi at sea level 113 intake temps. Stock tune, normal mode.
