Just the improvement in the transmission would have been worth the cost to me! But it also took the 3.0 to the next level! Which engine do you have? Sounds like those with the 2.3 notice more improvement than the 2.7. Either way, go for it!

What’s the part number for the Ranger Raptor 3.0? I did not see it listed on the “shop kits” page…

EDIT: never mind, I found it, just one little problem

Ford Ranger Very tempting. IMG_0446

I would be all over this if they released the calibration kit for 2025 2.3l. Hopefully soon. Ill just keep on waiting.

Definitely worth it on the Raptor, you need to run premium anyway to get the rated power out of the 3.0L and most who have tried 87 on stock 3.0L dont like how much of a hit it takes or how sluggish it gets, so for Raptors that are going to run premium anyway which is the majority of Raptor owners given they bought it as a performance truck, mine as well get the extra performance by foregoing grades below 91 anyways, especially since the additional power gain is pretty significant compared to what you get out of an F-150 raptor, which is only 16HP. Ranger gains 50 HP by comparrisom and a whopping 70 to 80 HP in the midrange!

If I had an F-150 Raptor I would keep it stock since the power gains are so little over the factory cal, you would be hard pressed to notice 16hp more, but on the Ranger Raptor its very substantial. Smaller displacment engines tend to benefit more from premium fuel than larger distplacement, so it does make sense why the 3.0L see much more improvement from a Pro Cal than the 3.5L.

2.3L and 2.7L may be a bit of a different story as they are better optimized for 87 since they are not performance engine variants per say, although they absolutely benefit from premium while towing. So that may be more of a case where you consider, how often do you even want to run premium aside for towing? If the answer is not really other than that application, id stay stock, but if you regularly enjoy running premium for the performance feel and sportier driving the a Pro Cal is likely worth it.

Sounds great but, I'm surprised I still have a license with it stock. With fuel being ridiculous too I think I'll sit this one out for the time being.

Was there a recent price increase?
I was thinking they were $850 not that long ago?

Its unbelievable that Ford hasnt done that. the 2.3T has been around for almost 10 years and in everything from the Mustang, Explorer, some Lincolns i think too.
