I figure that's the one thing that will make me regret not waiting for a '27; with my luck it'll become standard on all trims.

This is the first I've heard about push button start across the board. Where did you pick up that little tidbit?

There's a reason desirable features end up in option packages or higher trims!

Yeah, I'm out on an AliExpress kit, no way I'm putting aftermarket stuff in my truck like that although I'm glad it's working for you in Brazil. Maybe one day someone will figure out the Ford OEM stuff if it's possible.

It's a completely independent system. The key looks like Ford's original but it is not.

Here's a video I found on Youtube showing how to install it in brazilian Ranger. Maybe youtube can auto-generate english subtitles for you guys to understand anything.



My electrician told me this video is very helpful but he had to do some steps that are not shown there. So, answering you guys: it's NOT a simple thing. He had my car there for two straight days to figure all out.

I also changed the led so it matches my interior lights.

Looks like the Ford compatible version isn't available to ship to the USA. Going to have to see what else is available to do the same thing. I did not know this was a thing until this thread and now I'm intrigued...
