Ford views every ranger sold as a lost opportunity to sell an F150.
Would be true if I could afford one with the features I want, but 75k is a big leap from 55k
When it comes to monthly payments. Would be tempted to get a Tremor high trim, but then you are close to Raptor cost. Just can't make the math work. So in my case, and I must assume others, it's the Ranger or nothing.

Got to be optimistic. The 2 year wait on my Bronco allowed me to put down half and pay it off in a little over a year.
The problem for me is every month that goes by my Trade (21 F150) is losing value. While I am excited to get the truck, these delays are costing me money. Job 1 was supposed to start in August. The amount I pay off on my truck is just not keeping up with the lost value.

You make a very valid point. We are losing trade value (19 F150) as we wait.

Well you’re not alone. The used market is not what it use to be a few years ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if you owe more than what your truck is worth.

Not to mention those of us transitioning from a sedan to a truck are anxiously awaiting the hauling capacity of a truck for home projects!! Mine are piling up while I (im)patiently wait.....I -could - just get something else, but prefer the Ranger after months of research and anticipation!

Actually, I’m in pretty good shape. I put a sizable down payment on my truck because Carvana was way over paying at the time and I sold my old truck to them. I was also able to purchase it with XPlan at a discount. It was right before everything blew up. I should still clear around 15,000 but when I started this it was closer to 20.

Putting a small trailer on my fiancé's Crosstrek has been enough for us to get by. It'll handle a bit of plywood and drywall. But I'm with you on this one, a lot of "truck stuff" is piling up while I wait.

You would probably be happy with a Maverick; you - coming from a Crosstrek. Since I have a Maverick I can attest it will carry anything the Ranger can carry, with some unusual exceptions. For example the bed in the Maverick is 4.5 feet and the Ranger is 5.1? The practical difference is small because 4x8 sheets slide right into the Maverick and prop onto the tailgate set at 45 degrees extending the bed another 2 feet. ( like having a 6.5 ft bed) The bed can carry the same amount of weight. To be honest my reason for swapping to the Ranger is purely aesthetics. I like the look of ME in a bigger truck. And by the time I get it my Mav will be 3 years old... But I can attest that the Maverick is a great little truck. It's just not a Ranger ;-) - And I'm looking at a base Ranger no fancy Raptor.. These 24's look great and seem just right across all trim levels.

That is exactly my thought as well. I'm making car payments now - to my self, so I can drop a huge deposit. That's a smart play! And I'm in a high yield savings to boot.

Scheduling now resumes 12/14. Unless it changes again.
I'm not sure why it should start on 12/14 - the following week Ford will be closed for the holidays' - So My guess is it will start up again Jan 1st.

The schedule is made about a month at a time I think so this would be scheduling for late January into February
