Hey all, seeking input. I bought a new 2024 Ranger XL end of March 2025. It has less than 4000 miles on it. I have brought it into the dealer I purchased it from now two other separate times to try and fix the AC, which is not blowing cold. They thought they fixed it last time, replacing some lines and fittings above driver front wheel well. Two weeks later and it’s blowing hot again. What are the best options here? Take it to a different Ford dealer? Take it to the same one and express how pissed I Am? I’m also in Pennsylvania, and wondering if this next repair doesn’t work, if I should be talking to a lemon lawyer? (PA law states that if after three separate attempts to fix, it qualifies.)

Jus my 2¢...
If possible, get a second 'opinion' from another dealership prior to escalation efforts.
Unfortunately, actual dealership 'service competency' is random and fraught with uncertainty...GL 🤞

Make sure your compliant is written up exactly on the service writers work order each time. If you end up going for the Lemon Law this is important.
If not written the same, Fords attorneys will try and say different complaints.
Service writers know this trick and will try and word it differently so it appears as a different issue.
I went thru this process and found this out from my attorney and yep, it was against Ford. Took some time but finally settled out of court. Not an easy process.

I'd take it to another dealership.

If it's not a computer issue, it ought to be easy enough to diagnose.

A bad ambient air temperature sensor made mine blow hot, but it also illuminated the check engine light, so it's probably not the same issue. I would expect, however, that there are more systems that can cause the same symptom if that can.

I had this issue. See my thread here: My '24 Ranger AC issue

Long story short, I did not have AC upon delivery and it took several trips to the dealership. Took several attempts, root cause was supposedly assembly line - incorrect part installed.

It's most likely something simple but getting it diagnosed correctly can be hit or miss. Good luck!

First determine the initial cause. Is it blowing warm air when the AC system is full of refrigerant? Or, is it blowing warm air because it's leaking refrigerant and becomes low on refrigerant and then starts blowing warm air? Because they had replaced lines and it worked for a couple of weeks it sounds like there is a leak. If that's the case, that most likely eliminates computer and sensor issues along with any mechanical AC duct work servo motors or door operation. They would need to find the leak by doing a visual inspection of the AC componets for any oil stains around refrigerant line connections and the compressor along with using using an electronic freon leak detector. Also, certain components need to be checked for leaks with the AC system off and certain components with the AC system running. Maybe post here a copy of the service report so we can see what work has been done and their diagnostic reasoning.

I saw Ford’s official account reached out to you on here regarding your issue. Were they able to help at all?

No. Dealership did all the heavy lifting. Ford account took my info and basically said the dealership would take care of it. Yeah, duh.

Also, Ford account no longer monitors the website or replies to any threads or messages.

Dropped off at same dealership one last time. They had it all day and couldn’t find any leak. They are going to call out a Ford Field Service Engineer. Hopeful they can find the cause. I’ll keep this thread updated.

It's possible that it's not any thing to do with the AC compressor or refrigerant levels.
5G had AC problems early on due to a defective blend door actuator caused by warping of the AC/Heat plenum.
A good indication of this is that the AC compressor was running, but no cold air was blowing out.
