Aeroskin hood protector thoughts?

Looking to use my Ford points. Has anyone installed the Aeroskin hood protector by Husky? Works well? Deflect bugs from windshield? Durable? Other options people chose?

My father on law has that one in his truck. I am not sure how well it works though. It looks good in person

I got the areoskin 2 the bump you can really see the bugs and pollen get redirected and yeeted up and away from the truck. lol

I’m leaning toward the aeroskin 2 myself. Either is going to protect your hood from chips in the paint.

I look at it this way, if you're going to have something there you may as well pick one with full coverage of the front of the fenders also which is why I went with Airplex. The difference in appearance is not noticeable but the difference in protection is. Actually I like the look, it looks complete.

I added on last summer to my ‘24 Lariat. Install was simple looks great without being bulky. I opted for the smoked more glossy version only because I may add the side glossy window visors at some point. It looks great without being obtrusive. I’ve had a deflector in my old ford truck that didn’t really do much for stopping bugs off the windshield lol and I’m more concerned about stone chips on the hood this time around. Cheers

I was getting a lot of rock chips on the hood so I purchased one. I got the one without a bump because I didn’t like the look of the bump. It worked. I had 7 or 8 rock chips before and none since I installed it.

I have the same on as garyo. It has saved the front edge of the hood. We left Charlotte and met 21 other vehicles in Nashville and did a 6,333 mile Route 66 trip out west and back. Many of those other vehicles had nicks and chips on their hoods. We had also added a layer of PPF. After 6333 miles the hood looked great.
I would install again on the next vehicle.

I had a Maverick and got the deflector with the bump on it. It caused a lot of hood buffeting. Took it off, buffeting gone. No more bumps for me.

I plan on a bug shield too. I'd get the Aeroskin 1 if it came in matte black, so it will be the Aeroskin 2.
I don't have any Ford points, and it's a little cheaper at Real Truck, at $145

I've got the aeroskin 2, but installed in october, past the heavy bug season where I live, so can't provide bug insight. I like the construction and the matt black, kinda matches the bumpers and wheel well covers. And the middle part that sticks up ends up being not that noticeable (probably depends a bit on color, I've got shelter green). Over the life of your truck, you will get chips, dents and gouges in the leading edge of the hood; you can either cover now, or right before you sell to cover the existing damage.
