Hi all, just wondering if they make a aftermarket diff cover for a non raptor 2024 fx4 with the locking diff. I found one on fords website it shows it fits 24 broncos non raptor and up to 23 rangers. I don’t want to buy it and it not fit. I already dented and replaced my factory cover once. Any help would be appreciated.

That is a good question. I know on the 2024+ Ranger, they install a different metal standoff bracket on the left side of the cover than on the 5G and current Bronco and would be suspect if it actually fits?

Looking at the actual Ford Performance Parts website, they stop at 2023 for the Ranger application.

I am very interested in this also. Google AI says the 2025 Bronco and Ranger both use the Dana M220 differential. Ford parts sites only show the Ford Performance M-4033-BR M220 HD Rear Axle Differential Girdle Cover as a Bronco fulfillment. The American Truck website show that it will work on the Ranger. Hootbro might be right here is a picture of my 2025 Ranger's cover, the stand-off bracket looks like it would not mount flush to the Ford M220 performance cover because of the aluminum support arm that's between the two bolts on the left side of the cover. The bigger question is why did Ford delete the drain plug on the differential for the 2024 and 2025 versions! And my cover has to be the worst paint job ever with so many massive runs.

Drain plug was deleted around 2021/2022 on both the 5G Ranger and Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator that used the M220 DANA differentials around the same time. As to the why, could not tell you but I suspect since it happened to both Ford and Jeep at the same time, might have been a cost savings pitched by DANA.

There is no drain plug/hole on the M220 differential.

Doesn't look like MB3Z4033A is anything special, nor the KB3Z4033A. The bracket looks to be using studs in place of bolts.

I'd imagine as long as it's for the M220 the immediate concern would be any aftermarket flange thickness, primarily where studs are used. If the flange is thicker than OEM the position of rigid lines could be shifted.

I think the issue with to Ford Performance one may be the casting interference with the bracket mount.

For future purposes, I'd like to find a cover with a drain plug too.

ARB has one for the Dana 220

They don’t say it fits the next-gen Rangers, but they literally have a picture of it on a new Ranger. YMMV of course.

Found the website article. They elected to not mount the brake hose bracket to the diff cover since they use socket head cap screws. 😕 The stock photo is advertising the bumper. Deceptive, nonetheless.

I talked to Yukon - their cover should work. The image does not show a drain plug but I was told that images are of first production run from 5 years ago and that the cover does indeed have a drain plug.
