Figured I'd just check in Ford Pass to see if me recall service had cleared the app's warning message... it hasn't... only to find a new recall notice "Side Curtain Airbag". Anybody else seeing this?

This is the first recall I've received...

Apparently the airbag just...isn't installed, at all. lmao.

How does that even happen?? You show up to your well paid union factory job, and you're just like...no airbags for you today, satan.

it looks like the airbag could tear, not that it isn’t installed.

Yup...same for my Dec 24 build.
In FP app states recall "service not available"
Haven't checked Fords site yet
...WTF why issue recalls w/o a solution? 😵

That makes more sense. The way the recall is written in FordPass is confusing.

Ford is notifying owners that there is an active recall that applies to your vehicle to comply with NHTSA rules and regs. They will send another notice when the shield parts to fix the issue become available.

Just received an informal notification from Carfax for the airbag recall. Said I will receive formal notice from Ford.

The side airbags are designed to prevent the ejection of un-belted people, something I never understood until now.

He’s got to go. Outside of the C suite he’s as popular as $25 yellow snow cones at a dog show. Two of my family members are execs plus they work closely with dealers and know well how disliked he is within the organization. That said, the recall avalanche is due to selecting and poorly vetting the supplier base. It’s also concerning that Ford has a more US-based supplier chain than anyone, so what’s that saying about our manufacturing! I just liquidated 100% of my Ford stock moments ago, so that tells you my confidence level. I sure hope my Ranger is not a POS. Early indications are that it was built quite well (vs the 2025 Explorer we have that is Scotch taped together). My 4 prior Rangers were virtually perfect; you couldn’t get better results whatsoever.

To be fair, Ford's quality was on a downhill trajectory for a very long time. A leader focused on changing that is very often unpopular, especially with management who get significant bonuses based on metrics that don't help consumers at all and who have a personal interest in maintaining the old status quo. I've been a consultant in large organizations for decades, and on all of my "Day 1"'s nearly everyone says things are broken and need to change, and by my "Day 10" those same voices are bitching about change.

Yep, I got the brakes recall done and just got notification yesterday about the side curtain recall, according to Ford, they don't have a fix for it at this time.
