I finally installed my replacement cover yesterday, and it’s definitely an improvement over the original. The fit at the tailgate is much better now, but there‘s still a bit of a gap under the vinyl thanks to the stepped down edge of the tailgate cap. I may try and add some weather-stripping to the bottom edge of the cover for an added level of water resistance, but overall I’m much happier with the fit on the cover.

Any chance you have the new length measurement vs the old? Bak has also offered me a replacement but I’m going to try shimming mine first.

I’ll take some measurements of the new cover and rails later today and post before and after

Here are the before and after numbers:

Original Cover

Pass rail 59-13/16”
Driver rail 59-7/8”
Cover vinyl to vinyl 59-5/16” Pass and 59-3/16” Driver

Replacement Cover

Rails 59-13/16”
Vinyl 59-15/16”

So the vinyl cover section is about 3/4” longer on my replacement cover.

Might be tough. These are 3D printed, and in order to get the shape that surface has to be flat on the print bed. Let me try a couple things, I’ll post back next week.

Installed mine on a ‘25 RR. The instructions have sections for the 24 & 25. Mine only came with the scalloped 24 bulkhead seal. Apparently, there’s a different Square seal for the 25.

I had a hard time figuring out which way to orient the BH seal. If I placed it per instructions, with the flat side facing the back of the truck, it seemed like the font of the cover angled up and didn’t lay flat.

I placed it as pictured and the cover sits flatter.

If I move the cover back toward the tailgate, I get D seal contact, but the front of the cover seems short.

I ordered some 1”x1” and 1”x3/4” weatherstrip from Amazon to see if will fit flatter.

I had some water intrusion last night on the front passenger corner when it rained.

Wondering if i need a longer cover sent?

I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the cover. The hardware is crap, I replaced all the nuts and bolts after one snapped on me installing. One of the clamps doesn't grip the rail well enough to hold down the end securely, so I may see if I can find an aftermarket one. Real Truck has been non-responsive and the only email I got was not helpful at all. At some point I will probably take off the rails and replace the weather stripping with something thicker to seal better. The cover works well enough and I can modify myself, but for the price the fit and finish really should be much better.
I finally got around to trying to install mine yesterday on my 2025 Ranger Raptor (April 2025 production) and I agree that the QA is generally lacking. Both of my side rails came with numerous scratches on the top visible surfaces, misaligned seal along the sides of the rails, really rough cuts on the ends of the rails and missing paint. I'm filling out the registration right now, so I can open a warranty ticket to get the rails replaced and get the missing 2025 install parts (mounts and and bulkhead seal). The overall quality and attention to detail looks more like $900 product than a $1400 product. They really need to figure out a better way to handle the sharp corners on the rails when you open the tailgate.

I also didn't receive and printed instructions with mine. Just a registration card with a QR code.

We'll see how their support goes.

Totally agree their quality control is lacking and rails look like an unfinished product which definitely doesnt justify the premium they’re charging. I ended up getting these to cap off the rails. Perfect fit and looks factory.

Thanks for the link. I'll take a look. I can 3d print TPU, so I might try coming up with something myself first that has a built in rounded corner.

for the sharp corners on the rails, i used a safe side file and broke the edge on the corner and sharp edges where the aluminum was cut at the factory.
