Ford Ranger Bed Reinforcement Question Screenshot 2024-09-17 125722

So when I was getting warranty work done on the AC, I mentioned I'd ordered the brackets and inquired having them install and asked for a quote. I was supposed to bring back when I got my brackets and Service told me they would see if I could get them installed at no cost but they weren't sure since bulletin does have the Ford brand topper provision as a requirement. As we can all see, there is a CSP and it's provisioned, but as with any warranty work, it's up to the dealership how or if it's done.

I believe that's the only reason it shows as a recall on the Service website. If I type in my VIN on the recall check site or look at my Ford account, there is no recall for the load box kit.

Has anyone noticed the build dates in the CSP?? I suspect that the issue has been eliminated in Job 2 builds, but I don't have access to the OASIS and FSA VIN lists mentioned.
My Lariat is a Job 2 model, and I crawled under the truck to look at the brace location before taking delivery. My truck looks different than the CSB, so it looks to be resolved in Job 2. My truck is out getting ceramic coated today; I’ll post pics when I get it back (probably on Saturday).

I have a job 2 build. Pics from underneath. Not exactly sure what I'm looking at, but I do not think I see the 50/50 Ford L bracket reinforcement.

Any feedback? Any from those who have theirs installed?

That’s what mine looks like as well. I’m not going to buy the J brackets; I think Ford has already addressed the issue on my truck

I'm still "In Production" hopefully that means I also won't need to install the braces.

Is this actually an improved design?

Disclaimer, I have not installed the J brace...

This looks the same to me as the Job 1 beds.
The J brace stiffens the corner circled in red.
It follows along the green line, then continues up (hard to show in 2D).

I'm not so sure it has been addressed. When I look at the J Brace and then the above pictures, the new brace covers both bolts. I'm going the better not to be sorry and intall a J brace. Have topper to be installed next week.

Just received my Ranger Lariat and was planning on ordering the J Brace. This area appears very different on my truck, to the point the existing Ford J Brace wouldn't fit? I've asked Ford and my dealer for information but so far, nothing.. Sorry for the poor photos..

After looking at Customer Satisfaction Program 23P22 from the link provided by colesnyder22
It appears that this issue only affects Rangers built between January 4,2024 through July 15,2024

To me that would imply that vehicles made after July 15, 2024 would have the fix in place. Is this a bad assumption?

My Ranger was build 08/09/2024 based on the label on the drivers side door.
