The ones I linked off ebay fit perfectly and have been on my truck for almost a couple thousand miles now. They have the exact same surface area and angle/bulge as the OEM lug nuts.Very nice....but the post #39 says the Gorilla lugs don't fit for the Ranger is that true? Tried to do that on their website but could never figure out how to pick a vehicle.
I have a couple other vehicles with decent ATs and wheels that are tucked under the rear. I have never had any concerns about them walking away, even in a higher theft metro where there are no consequences, since they're a pain to drop down. Our spares are on a steel wheel, too, so even less worthwhile for someone to go through the effort. Guessing you could drill some holes and use a small locking hitch pin or somehow block the channel you stick the crank arm? through to drop the cable/spare.On a related note, any of you getting a Spare Tire lock of some sort? (For when the spare is under the truck to prevent someone from walking away with it.
Having a little trouble finding one.....
Yep, it pretty simple actually ; https://accessories.ford.com/spare-tire-lock-ramz1a380aOn a related note, any of you getting a Spare Tire lock of some sort? (For when the spare is under the truck to prevent someone from walking away with it.

Did you pain the "bead lock" ring?Black lugs matter

They are powder coated. Used Prismatic Powders PSB-11336 that is their color match to Ford Oxford White YZ.Did you pain the "bead lock" ring?
I love it. I was thinking about doing that but difficult to find someone near me to do it.They are powder coated. Used Prismatic Powders PSB-11336 that is their color match to Ford Oxford White YZ.
When I purchased my RR there was minor rash on the two on the passenger side from either the delivery process or a lot attendant at the dealership brushed a curb.
So I went through this thread and am still confused on what the options are for a black lug nut that matches exactly the OEM strength based on your input here.I did a deep dive into lug nuts for the R-Raptor.
(Short answer) Basically due to the sharing forces and wheel pressure/leverage you absolutely need a stock style for the correct surface area for off-roading/jumping/high speed cornering. Now- if you don’t plan on any of the above driving situations (I.e. your truck will stay on road all the time), then a thinner spline lug nut will be fine. If you have after market wheels you may not have a choice due to the diameter of the holes, but if running stock wheels the splines will secure the wheel to the bolts At about 1/3 reduction in strength.
I'm still a little confused too. Several people here going with Gorilla lug nuts. But over on the fordraptorforum several people saying Gorillas are junk and to go with McGard lug nuts.So I went through this thread and am still confused on what the options are for a black lug nut that matches exactly the OEM strength based on your input here.
People are commenting that they have a solution and it fits fine, works great, etc., but that's not the same thing (per your post) as matching the OEM strength. Is bulge acorn the answer?
