Those look like they have the same thin metal cover as our chrome ones except they're black.

No affiliation, but I bought a set of Gorilla locking splines from here the other week/month, and they are working great so far. Couldn't really beat the price at $63. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184482170913
Love them on my 350R, which had even more offensive chrome lugs from the factory…Ford needs to get the hint and respond to the aftermarket here, it’s not that hard (or expensive!).

I swapped to Gorilla spline on my 350R as I wanted black and more theft protection for the carbon wheels. Very happy with the quality and would like to use them on the RR so an answer on the above would be helpful - looks to me like similar surface area that contacts the wheel so I assume that would be sufficient? The thinner spline part is not making any contact with the wheel, that’s just how you remove it so I assume it’s just as strong as stock?

Separately, anyone have these? Not cheap, but since FP you can trust the spec…and color looks to be a better match for our wheels vs the gloss black on Gorilla. Only issue, no locks. Thoughts?

In case it helps, the Gorilla Bulge Style M12x1.5 is P/N 41138FSBC. I have these on my truck.

Thank you for the link on ebay. Ordered these earlier this week and just arrived and installed. These are the same Gorilla lugs that are 2x the cost on SummitRacing (no knock on them... I've ordered many items from them).

Very nice....but the post #39 says the Gorilla lugs don't fit for the Ranger is that true? Tried to do that on their website but could never figure out how to pick a vehicle.

Just make sure you get some M12x1.5 threaded Acorn “bulge” style nuts. The bulge increases the surface area of the tapered surface that meets with the wheels recess at 60°. Non bulge acorns have much less surface area contact. Gorilla PN is above (post #40).

I went with the McGard Acorn Bulge in black chrome myself, and have used them on a few vehicles. They worked great!
