So from credible sources:

They're building a 4-door Mustang for 2029.

They're building a pickup version of the Bronco for 2029.

They're building a smaller version of the Transit van.

Hmmm.....sounds like somebody at Ford is really jealous of Stellantis. All of these vehicles already exist in Jeep, Ram, and Dodge form.

Yeah, but that's Stellantis. Nobody is jealous of Stellantis.

Brave AI:
" Ford codename P525 was the internal development designation for a cancelled mid-size pickup truck intended to serve as the global replacement for the Ford Ranger around 2010–2011. Originally planned as a reintroduction of the F-100 for the twelfth-generation Ford F-Series platform, the project was ultimately shelved in favor of developing the Ranger T6. "
Interesting history tidbit. The Ranger T6.2, designed/engineered by the Aussies, has been a smashing success for ROW but not so much for North America. The Aussies were recently awarded the mission of developing this next T6.3 Ranger. The Ranger Super Duty played a role in why the Aussies have the T6.3 design/engineering mission. It's going to be the same Ranger truck world wide but branded differently in North America vs ROW.

It sounds like you are skeptical about the MAP/TTP plans because of decisions made by Ford 16 years ago? I will take it as a complement that you think I am brave but I am only parroting what trusted insiders have stated. :like: Please keep hanging around here for the next 2-3 years. It will be fascinating to watch how Ford's plans unfold and discussing them with you and others here on this forum. Please don't leave!

Speculation, but if it kills the Ranger here in NA, it strikes me as a typical boneheaded move from Ford.

Bronco pickup news / info:

"AutoGuide's sources indicate a Bronco pickup would likely come at the expense of the Ford Ranger, which doesn't sell as well as anyone had hoped and finds itself in a tough spot, squeezed on both sides of the pricing equation by the F-150 and Maverick."

Whenever Ford can be convinced to build Ranger's they sell them. Production and sales figures are in line with each other. When more Rangers are sold to dealer inventory, more Rangers are sold. Funny how that works when you have a winning design and product.

Yes, production at MAP has prioritized the Bronco at the Ranger's expense. With the T6.3 Ranger/F-100 moving to TTP this won't be a problem anymore.

I wouldn't trade my Ranger Raptor for a Bronco Raptor pickup. I like the steel roof over the noisy/leaky plastic one. It's also quieter and handles good. The Bronco is great at going off road and has a much simpler easier to clean interior. The Ranger is one of the best pickups I've owned.

I have zero interest in a bronco truck, just like that ugly ass gladiator pick up. The bronco pick up will probably be way to long, just like the gladiator, but will sell to all the mall crawlers

I have zero interest in a Bronco pickup as well. I like the Bronco in concept, but it's just not something I could see myself owning and enjoying for more than a couple years before the novelty wore off, kinda like the moonroofs in every car I've owned. Can't remember the last time I opened the Focus's.

Ain't that the truth! 🤣

Transitioning the Ranger to an F-100 model definitely makes sense. Ford gets to keep the "number one selling truck for the last billion years" and the rest of us actually get some marketing and development money invested in the Ranger.

If does does the stupid and kills Ranger they will lose me as a customer. Instead of moving to another Ford product when it's time to buy again.....I'll be buying a Dakota or (shockingly) a Ridgeline. Not a Bronco base P/U.

I kinda dig the F100 as a name plate, but the Ranger is legendary.
