Found a cheap fix for the wind noise issue at the B pillar it cuts wind noise down by 90 percent to the point I only hear wind noise from the side mirrors now at highway speeds. If you look at the front edge of rear passenger doors where they meet the front passenger doors you will see a lip that was designed to hold a weather seal. Apparently Ford never got around to installing the seal on our trucks hence the wind noise. I got 3/8x1/4 D seals peel and stick from Amazon and they seal the front door to back door gap completely.

If you want to mask that wind noise with some other wind noise, add window rain guards. I had zero wind noise till i added those.

Agreed. I'm about to take mine off. I ordered the low profile one's from Ford Accessories. In the past the low profile guards for my F150 were completely flat and didn't extend out at all. These are still relatively flat but have a 1/2" lip on the bottom which to me both looks and sounds bad.

Thanks for the sharing OP, will be giving this a try.

For others getting an abnormal amount of wind noise, try folding in your mirror first to verify how much it is contributing if any. My driver side wind noise was much louder than on the passenger side. The mirror was the cause and replaced under warranty. I still hear a minor amount of wind noise, but it pales in comparison to the amount my mirror was causing.
Agree! My wind noise is VERY sporadic and really seemed like a mirror noise. Found it happened after I washed my car and in cold weather… was expecting that some ice was forming creating a channel that built the wind noise. This forum is always very helpful. Thanks for the idea.

The window weather stripping seal is collapsing and needs a filler added. The round weatherstripping filler, can be purchased off Amazon along with rubber cement.

Make a slit in the weather stripping at the lower part of the seal, then insert the filler until it goes all the way around the door seal. Seal the slit with rubber cement and there will no more wind noise.??

Maybe the noise is coming from these two large openings in the fender ???

There is a foam piece in those openings. If you put your hand in there, you can feel it. Mine actually moves a little bit, and I'm not getting any noise issues.

I had a friend that posted on a forum years back that he spliced a 1k ohm resistor into his temperature sensor and picked up 15 HP and mileage went up 4mpg's. About 500 people bought into it. If your Ranger is already quiet on the highway I would avoid pasting and cluing crap on your truck.

I think this entire thread has to do more with those experiencing some wind noise……but then again, it’s all about perspective.???

Well, this is going to hurt the hate on this...like I stated before I live in Wisconsin, and we have shit weather every now and then. They spread salt and sand and brine to help melt and add traction to the roads out here when it is 32f to - around here -30f. The seals definitely work with keeping the shit out of within the doors. Also when it gets to 100f my 1 mile gravel driveway it will also keeps the crap out. Idk about the wind....but it definitely keep the crud out. PS I also gained 30hp atw. I'd do it again regardless of ^^

You'll probably haven't noticed yet, but your fuel economy will improve by 2MPG also due to the aerodynamic efficiencies.
