Chirping noise from engine bay

@mm1986 Thank you for escalating this to ford corporate! I was just resigned to the fact this is going to be an ongoing quirk. Please keep.us posted and hopefully ford comes with a fix sooner than later.

One tip for the airbag recall, ask they clean their hands before installing, I can see fingerprints I have to clean in my headliners...

yup, the ford techs don't seem to ever notice that they leave fingerprints in our light colored headliners

I went in for the airbag recall this morning which took about 2 1/2 hrs. Also had them look at the clicking noise that started after the brake booster recall. 5 different technicians ended up looking at the brake booster and their conclusion was that it was operating normally. I asked what about the noise it’s making now and they said it’s operating correctly. So I guess unless Ford puts out a TSB, it is what it is.

Another no problem found have to contact corporate again. Also they got fingerprints all over my truck like you guys said and left trim loose had to take it back twice. Losing faith in ford.

Yes, agree thanks for the update to all in the thread. I had made a case # with ford corporate as well about a week ago. After reading through my dealer documents there was no mention of the sound, so assumed they never reported it... Hopefully this is resolved before theres a failure of sorts.

Just got off the phone with corporate they told me to try and take it to another dealer. Pretty much they don’t think the noise is normal but there is nothing they can do unless the dealer escalates the issue or opens up a case while it is at the dealer and there is an active repair order open

My 2025 Raptor is sitting at the dealer right now with the same chirp. They knew it was coming from the brake booster, but said everything is normal and there is nothing else they can do. I told them to keep it another day and to keep looking.

Has anyone had any kind of solution or gotten any kind of response from Ford? Does anyone know if it's possible for the dealer to uninstall the update and go back to the previous version?

Nope it sounds like they are gonna do nothing until there is enough complaints for another recall

I asked the same question whether they could revert the software or do a reinstall. Both answers were no.... When I reported to ford I do have a case # in the event we can gather enough support from ford to actually fix it before it becomes a bigger problem.

It seems no one has a fix yet and don’t have high hopes for my dealer to figure it out. Hopefully they can escalate it with Ford or what ever they do.

It seems like this issue is not isolated to the ranger. I just searching ford electronic engine chirp or something like that led me to this fb page, where there is a video of the noise on an expedition and a bronco. No solution however...

Be really angry if it was on. a bronco raptor. But oddly my wife's '22 bronco 2.7 does not have the chirp.
